Defund the Police? Why Not Defund Politicians?

As law enforcement officers across the country don uniforms and equipment to face another shift, it's difficult to imagine their heightened sense of defensiveness. Each day, American law enforcement officers assume the duties of protecting us against violent offenders. Yet as a group, law enforcement officers are collectively castigated in the absurd rallying cry of the "Defund the Police." The people shouting to defund the police seem unable to connect the dots of how those police officers still protect and serve them.

In Afghanistan, 13 U.S. troops were killed on August 26 while serving and protecting the vulnerable. Due to the disastrous decisions of the president, military leaders, and his advisers, lives were lost — yet no cry of "defund the politicians" carries the sympathy of the left and its scribes in the media. While police officers can employ lethal force, it seems all but ignored that many political leaders also wield the power to use lethal force.

As police officers struggle with illegal weapons on the street, President Biden just handed military-grade weapons to the Taliban. It's one thing for a street thug who hates the police to possess a firearm, but it is an entirely different scenario when America's sworn enemy receives tens of billions in munitions and weapons from a feckless politician.

If the mayor of Chicago's cry for gun control contains legitimacy, where are her stern words for Joe Biden arming terrorists? For decades, the Democrat party has vilified gun-manufacturers and gun-owners, only to have its leader provide state-of-the-art weapons to committed terrorists. What's next for their hypocrisy?

On a related note, one can't also help but wonder how many of the planeloads of unvetted Afghans will make their way to the Windy City — or other leftist enclaves. Will terrorism once again overwhelm our cities?

how about apply the Law to them?

rape a babe taped to the floor? - arrest instead
of protecting the tapes for 4 years by the DO”J”

make sedition using lies? - so far ignored instead of hung

treason over and over and over - so far ignored instead of hung

Americans mask: why are politicians allowed to rape,
murder, commit treason, etc. with the DO”J” PROTECTING THEM?

I have a list going on ways Democrats want to kill people without being blamed for it. This is the top one. Ignore the gun violence in cities across the country, defund police, and give lip service to taking guns from law abiding citizens all under the guise of gun control. Letting minorities kill each other and politicians look like their trying to do something about it.

One reason the “defund the politicians” movement will never fly is that politicians don't directly shoot and kill people. Politicians kill using “death of a thousand paper cuts.”

The system is broken. The inmates are now running the asylum. They will give themselves a pay raise at every turn and are creating a permanent class of poor who are dependent on the government at every turn.

Yep. Reported today that Afghan refugees are getting $1,200 in payments each when stepping off the plane. That’s 2 years wages for them.

It’s time to scale back the size/scope of the federal government. Eliminate the EPA, Transportation, OSHA, BATF, Internal revenue service and the like. Take it back to the states.

Almost all these bureaucracies are extra or unconstitutional. Move to a national consumption tax or fair tax and move away from taxing productivity.

Enact an across the board 10% cut in funding for all federal agencies.

The article states the following: “Cue up the American Medical Association-supported ObamaCare. Not only did I not get to keep my insurance, my doctor refused to see me because I had the Bronze Level health insurance plan from the federal marketplace.” ======== This is true. What it doesn’t say is that funding shifted to hospitals and large clinics. The large hospitals were allowed to charge a “facility fee”...that is an extra $100 per visit that private practice was not getting for the exact same level of care. Large clinics in rural areas could apply for a very complicated system called “rural health clinic” and also claim and extra $80 for the same patient that a standard clinic could not.....thus the further shift from private practice at 60% down to is current 30%.

I’ve been saying for decades that the pay of every member of the US Congress should be determined by how much the nation profited. If the nation spends less than it takes in, the Senators and Representatives all receive a portion of that profit. If the nation finishes in the red, they get bupkis. Not a red damn cent. Build them a dormitory (complete with cafeteria worthy of a high school) to live in at government expense so they can’t complain that they can’t afford to keep two homes (one in their home state, one in DC) unless they are richly paid.

Take the profit motive out of it and return the function of the Citizen Politician to the common citizen and save it from the corruption clutches of the Professional Politician.
