Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic, was one of many drugs medical professionals reviewed for repurposing early on in the COVID-19 pandemic. Some doctors who gave ivermectin to infected patients saw seemingly positive effects. However, more studies show it has little to no effect when it comes to treating COVID-19.
In recent weeks, there has been a dramatic increase in calls to poison centers by people who are taking ivermectin intended for animals.
Meanwhile, emergency rooms are seeing more patients who have overdosed a version of the medicine intended as a horse dewormer. The drug has stayed in the headlines following Joe Rogan saying he used it after he tested positive for COVID.

That’s assuming this is even happpening. Doesn’t it strike anyone as odd that all these reports from mostly southern/red states are suddenly filling the news cycle? My first instinct is to call BS, not because I know anything about Ivermectin, but because the CDC, FDA and the media have so destroyed their own credibility that I tend to believe just the opposite of whatever they say.
reading between the lines 85% were mild, and one caller was advised to check in to a provider. if that one caller equals the 15% that was non mild, that means there were a total of no more than 7 callers altogether (out of which six were fine) ... why is this a story?

What is being left out of all this fake new hysteria, as usual, is any context. For example what are the actual numbers of cases requiring hospitalization nation wide?
As far as I have been able to find the number is zero.

I posted earlier that the dose I took was proportional to what a horse is given to get rid of worms. Since then I have joined a community Dr. Lee Merritt formed at the website “TheMedicalRebel,” where you can find answers to lots of questions about Covid. Dr. Merritt posted a protocol she likes (see attached file), but she mentions that there are quite a few out there. As part of her service for $8/mo, you can submit one question per week, and I asked her to confirm that my calculations were correct based on the protocol for 0.3mg/kg.
So, here it is:
Suppose I weigh 200 lbs. Since there are 2.2 lbs/kg, I divide 200 by 2.2 to get 90.9 kg. Since the protocol calls for 0.3mg/kg, I multiply 90.9 times 0.3 to get 27.3 mg of ivermectin needed for one dose.
Now, on to find out how many milligrams of ivermectin a tube of equine apple-flavored paste contains. The box says that the paste has 1.87% ivermectin, and that the tube weighs 6.08g. Convert 6.08 grams to milligrams by multiplying by 1000, or 6080 milligrams. 1.87% of the 6080 mg is ivermectin, or 0.0187(6080), which yields 113.7 mg of ivermectin per tube.
The 200 lb person needs a dose of 27.3 mg, so dividing 113.7 by 27.3 gives us 4.2 doses per tube. That’s a little over 4 doses per tube, which is super cheap!! I saw chewy was selling a tube for $4.99. Can you believe that? a buck and a quarter per dose.
Dr. Merritt confirmed that this is correct.
Just what is an ivermectin overdose from Horse dewormer which contain 100mg per syringe. A high treatment for Covid is 60 mg/day for 5 days. A Dr. in South Africa has reported a patient taking 90 mg with only mild side effects.

IF- and i repeat IF that is the case- then those folks are either taking a whole syringe of it OR taking the ones with TWO medicines in it- not the straight ivermectin ones-
Big Govt and Big Tech in bed with Big Pharma..for them the only cure is the vaccine, for every person who gets vaccinated, big pharma gets billions of more dollars..a cheap cure for this virus wouldn’t have made big pharma money so therefore everything has to be “Unproven” uh NO, the drugs work..if given early they work

6 months ago there were no reports, now there are probably a small handful, but they can call it a “dramatic increase” because there is no standard for what would qualify as dramatic.

There has been NO overdosing. That is a flat out lie.
Ivermectin is safer than aspirin.
BTY, I took an entire tube of it back in March over a weeks time. It worked. My son was ill a month ago and he used it also. Fever 102-103 within hours of taking a small amount with zinc he showed improvement and was back on his feet in two days.
