Zelensky's visit to the United States is just sadness.
Washington has no time for our country. The withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, catastrophic in its humanitarian consequences, almost official negotiations between the Americans and the Taliban (it turns out that one can negotiate even with those whom you called terrorists yesterday), the completion of the construction of Nord Stream 2, and a number of statements by US President Biden regarding the formation of a new geopolitical reality - all this created a very toxic background for the negotiations between the United States and Ukraine.
Especially when you consider what - almost epochal - hopes were placed on Bankova. But Biden's “epoch” is now far from Ukraine, and our problems for him are as if the owner of the house, whose sewer system had burst and the whole house was flooded with shit, was asked to shelter a distant relative from Kvartal 95.
The importance for the Americans of the visit of the Ukrainian president was emphasized by the fact that at the Washington airport, the main acting person on the American side was Oksana Markarova, who was "concurrently" acting as the ambassador of Ukraine to America. Dressed like a dollar, Zelensky, radiating optimism and giving his camera lenses his smiles, looked at this "celebration of life" like a "guest from the south" who arrived in the midst of the "great resettlement". He would have to take and cancel that visit, but, apparently, the process of political legitimization with the help of external supports went so deep that it was impossible to refuse.
And then there was Biden's address to the American people, in which he said what could become a splendid epitaph of American foreign policy, from the Vietnam War to the Afghan one: "The ...

I don’t know why Zelensky wasted his time coming here. Joe has already shown that he prefers evil empires over allies.

Maybe the Ukrainians could have gone after Joe and Hunter for raping their country, rather than letting Joe get elected.
There is no reason that a Ukrainian president should have been rewarded with a visit to the White House. Theirs is a government of bloodthirsty warmongers who wage war on their own citizens for political gain.
What did Ukraine expect? Hunter doesn’t need a phony job in Ukraine anymore now that his art career is thriving.

Perhaps Joe is just trying to extort them again. It’s a shame that they threw in with the liars and cheats and are now paying the price.
Zelenski was told by Biden that Putin’s checks to Hunter cleared and to prepare to leave Ukraine when Putin storms in, and that we would offer only token support.

Ukraine, the country nobody wants.
But when it comes to Russia, Ukraine sits in a vital position.
Eff Ukraine.

Well of course there is. First of all, Joe's kid got rich off the Ukraine, and secondly, we have a government of bloodthirsty warmongers who wage war on their own citizens for political gain.
Zelensky obviously did not send enough money Hunter’s way.
Recall Ukraine gave up nukes for an agreement of protection with the US.
Now of course, that protection is useless and non-existent. Ukraine could be another victim of Joe Biden.
The dominoes will be falling.
I was not aware we were in an “alliance” with Ukraine.
That same deal also had us promise not to push NATO an inch east past Germany. We have had a relentless eastward NATO push.
We eventually provoked a response. It shouldn’t surprise anybody.
