New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania have been hit by severe flooding and dangerous winds as the remnants of Hurricane Ida sweep up to the northeast.
The National Weather Service's office in New York issued a Flash Flood Emergency for New York City for the first time ever, as more than 60 million people throughout the northeast are under flash flood watches while Ida - now a tropical depression - moves its way into the area.

Awesome (I am in Slidell Louisiana right now) God is doing some nice cleaning out ....New Orleans (Den of Inequity that it is) and The Big Apple...with the one stroke of energy brush! It was humbling watching the storm from my porch, I was uneasy you can say MANY times.

I guess no one remembers the subways flooding a few years back when a tropical cyclone hit that area. I guess no one remembers the flooding in Atlantic city and Wildwood NJ.

Live news scanner just reported four people called for rescue in their basement homes all died before the NYPD or NYFD could get them out the water came up to ceiling level in under 2 min they died while on 911 tragic. NYC just set it’s all time record of rainfall in 12 and 24 hours. Cars floating in 3 of 5 boroughs, total shutdown and flooding of subway active rescue of trapped subway passengers. This is going to be worse than Sandy by a long shot. For those who don’t oppose twitter there’s hundreds of videos of five foot plus deep water all over NYC
