Former President Trump wanted equity in Gettr, the new social media app launched by former Trump aide Jason Miller, sources tell Axios.

Why it matters: The former president has yet to join the app, although sources say that conversations about his participation are ongoing. Discussions about equity are likely part of those conversations, and everything is a negotiation point.

One small detail, the article uses the word "wanted", past tense.

I am on Gettr, I have been since the very start.

I sure hope Trump joins! I have been a Trumper since the very beginning, I think the third at this website.

Now one small detail, someone here experienced some issue whereby their phone number had one digit less than was expected (not 100% sure) and they are now receiving the equivalent of spam emails.

Not sure of the exact details, as it did not happen to me.

That said: Mr. President, please come to Gettr!!

Today, they even launched "dark" mode. :)

It’s lame when you see conservatives like Jenna Ellis get suspended from Twitter and they stay on it.

Makes sense. Millions more people will flock to the platform. People of all stripes.

Love him or hate him, when President Trump makes a statement, you want to see it right now, you want your phone to light up and beep, you don’t want to wait 5 minutes to get it from someone else.

I love GETTR, I tend to do more lurking than commenting but I enjoy the people who post. I can’t wait until Trump comes on but he probably won’t until the lawsuit is settled.

Loving Gettr. Everyone I want to follow is on there. Updates are clean and seamless. Adding enhancements. Easy to navigate and post. Jason is doing a great job.

Oh I COMPLETELY agree.

When I joined Twitter I quickly got a bunch of replies, including from young ladies (I told them I am married, thanks anyway), but then it really tapered off.

Not saying I failed Twitter’s ideological test, but it REALLY slowed down.

However since joining Gettr I have received a TON of friend requests.

Higher by a factor, of at least thirty to one.

Huge difference, between the two places.
