"This is effing ridiculous," we grumbled to each other as we eased our sedan onto the Autobahn.
I was a newly minted 2nd lieutenant, accompanied by an enlisted squad leader, team leader, and rifleman from my platoon. My company commander had just ordered us to drive 200 miles from our base near Frankfurt, Germany back to the Hohenfels Training area to retrieve a small piece of a Javelin Missile Simulation Round the young rifleman had lost during a recent training exercise.
… my company commander learned of this missing item. Summoning the four of us to the arms room, he laid into us as we stood at attention - a humiliating experience - before ordering us to drive back across the country at our own expense to "find" the missing piece of plastic.
The training area at Hohenfels is 163 square miles; the object we were looking for, the size of a shoebox. Presumably, the mission was intended to reinforce the importance of accountability, which, in the combat arms world, is sacrosanct. Lost weapons (or personnel) can cost lives. Such accountability is not limited to the individual soldier who loses something but extends to his or her leader, who is considered responsible for everything the platoon does or fails to do…
Now consider Afghanistan where an absolute lack of accountability is on embarrassing display to the world. … Receiving less attention than this disaster, but also revealing an utter lack of senior leader accountability, is our surrendering a modern weapons arsenal to the Taliban.
Reuters reported that according to recent intelligence estimates, "the Taliban are believed to control more than 2,000 armoured vehicles, including US Humvees, and up to 40 aircraft." …

I can.
The top levels are more concerned with celebrating perversity than with military matters.
The Ministry of Truth believes your “ white rage “ is showing.
Off to the Gulag !
our surrendering a modern weapons arsenal to the Taliban.
In the future, soldiers will have difficulty not laughing in their senior officers’ faces if they get bent out of shape when a couple of cases of grenades, a crate of M4s, or 15-20 pounds of Semtex go missing.
Accountable? They actually think they did a miraculous job, ie, the Miracle of Kabul. They claim it was the greatest air lift ever!
“Their” reality is what is believed within the Beltway and what they can make enough other people believe through the corrupt and disgusting national media. Genuine reality is what is happening in Kabul to the ones abandoned there. It can’t be covered up forever and isn’t being covered up very well now.
Now contrast that with the near French Farce aka Jan 6th Commission.
Officer: Soldier, what happened to the weapon you were issued?
Soldier: Gave it to the taliban sir!
Commander: Very good, carry on.
Yeah I couldn’t believe the 2020 election but it happened.
The political party in power basically controls the media (MSM and social media) so that’s why there is no accountability here.
The Taliban will probably be needing cash, and they probably have more weapons than they actually need. I wonder if they will be setting up an auction site. Considering that US taxpayers paid for that stuff, can we get some of it back? I understand that a lot of it is like new.
All June we were subjected to “pride month”, this time with all sorts of added nonsense about transgenders, people self-identifying as animals and such.
Remember the Taliban was originally formed as backlash after a tank battle between two warlords over access to the local boys.
You really think the Taliban didn’t use our nation’s sexual propaganda to sway the people of Afghanistan?
Off to the Gulag !
On your way to the gulag, be sure to stop by the office if that woke POS, General Milley. He wants to try and understand white rage. The rat 🐀 bastard.
“C’mon, man! That was four or five days ago.”
When you talk about hundreds of thousands of M-4s being “lost” in Afghanistan, who knows? It’s not like anyone can check. If, say, fifty thousand were to end up in the hands of Obama’s “civilian national security force,” who would be the wiser? There’s a real gray area in the accountability for these weapons.
God, I hope so! It would be a pleasure peeling one or a few more off a Commie Lives Matter corpse or three.
As can I. This is treason at the very top, and in all three branches of government. We have been betrayed in every way imaginable.
