It has been a rough 2021 for American wallets. Consumer and producer prices are soaring, making everything, from automobiles to food to shelter, more expensive. Moreover, the post-pandemic economy has not exactly been what policymakers had promised since the “wait two weeks” thing. But at least Americans could retreat to their humble abodes and drown their sorrows and droplets in a cheap box of donuts and wish that the last 18 months never happened. Sorry, but no.

I can’t remember last time I had a Donut
Cheaper if you make the holes bigger.....
Cheaper if you make the holes bigger.....
Ping...
The best glazed donuts I ever had were at the Px Camp Red Cloud, S. Korea. I could eat those all day.
Don’t be talking bad about VP harris....
My husband got me some last week, but I had dental surgery and couldn’t eat them. Maybe next time!
LOL
Then sell the holes. Genius.
That, is funny.
I’m a tightwad. I live on a fixed income, I own my property and am debt free. I raise a significant portion of my food
on my “Hobby Farm” in very RURAL Hawaii.
If I don’t die first, I have 10.6 kW of solar in my shop to install and I have money for the batteries to off grid.
The biggest increases in my monthly costs this past few years are all due to the government. New fees, taxes, regulations et al, has driven most of my monthly costs up.
Gasoline has increased 25% but most of that was tax, not for product. My property tax increased 80% because of a regulation change. I mill my own flour from wheat berries,
the cost of that wheat has not significantly gone up( per bushel) in the last few years, but the shipping costs in order to comply with arbitrary government regulations has!
Our problem is not disease, natural disasters, or war it is GOVERNMENT! Government elected by people that don’t pay taxes, or “have skin in the Game”.
That is going to stop, or we will quit playing.
The best glazed I ever had were Bosa Donuts in MN. The owner passed away and that was that.
The local trash company is having a hard time keeping up because they can’t get repair parts for their trucks. Lots of stuff is scarce these days.

Krispy Kreme. Yum.
