The Surprising Origins of Critical Race Theory
American Thinker.com ^ | August 28, 2021 | L.K. Samuels

Critical Race Theory (CRT) has been cited as an offshoot of Karl Marx’s theory of class struggle, which was designed to pit one class against another so as to foment worker-led revolutions. It is also widely accepted that the Marxian Frankfurt School in Germany reworked Marx’s “social conflict theory” in the 1950s by adding “race” to their long list of “oppressed” minorities. But historically, the Frankfurt School theorists were latecomers to the racial theory table. They were not the originators of Critical Race Theory. A revolutionary socialist movement had already existed decades before in Germany. These racial justice warriors sought to pit one race against another and encourage the oppressed to overthrow the oppressor. They called themselves German National Socialists.

After World War II, the Frankfurt School intellectuals and academics began to plagiarize the “racial struggle” and “victimhood” theories that had originated with Nazi theorists in the mid-1920s. It is true that the Nazi theorists, many with Marxist leanings, were less sophisticated in their racial superiority approach. But their long-term goals on racial disparity and struggle were remarkably similar.

The National Socialists, like the Marxian Frankfurt School leaders, dedicated themselves to fighting racial oppression imposed by other advantaged races. But in the case of the Nazis, they identified the “oppressed race” as the Aryan and German people, and the “oppressor race” as the Jews. They believed that the Jews controlled the world as members of a wealthy and privileged race that supposedly mistreated the so-called Aryan races.

To demean the so-called “Jewish oppressors,” the National Socialists taught German children that the Jews, Jewish-run banks, and capitalists were persecuting the German nation and its people. This “oppressor versus oppressed” narrative is pure classical Marxism, which had devastating effects across the annals of modern history.

I'm usually pretty sharp with this sort of thing and yet the article caught even me by surprise.
What we have here is people pretending to fight fascism and themselves being champions of the racially downtrodden trying to palm off Nazi ideology. The irony is too delicious; I'm embarrassed I didn't see this coming. Once again, the left prove they are racists. Historically, democrats have sided with: slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, poll taxes, lynching of innocent Blacks, refusing voting rights to women and minorities and on and on.
Now this.

National Socialists were always an offshoot of the Left. The main difference is they were Nation vs International Socialists.

Socialists tended to be racist in the beginning.

President Wilson was a racist. Progressives were pretty much racists.

CRT must be discarded into the ashbin of history, along with any resurgence of National Socialism and its socialist-racist narratives.

It required a world war to defeat the national socialists on the last discard, will it require the same again?

You are sharper than you realize. I’ve read numerous articles that Hitler got most of his racial policies directly from the Jim Crow laws of the American southern Democrats. In fact the eugenics he practiced also came from the likes of Margaret Sanger in the U.S.

These are not chickens coming home to roost, they never left. They just couldn’t get their policies fully accepted in America. In a free marketplace of ideas, the bad ones can be permitted because even average people see how bad they are and support good ideas. In fact, it’s the average people who we rely upon. It would appear that “genius” can become so enamored of itself that good and evil are ignored. The common man sees right through them.

Those same policies and principles have ignited totalitarianism everywhere else they have been tried. What is it about Americans that we never get on board with a single ideology? Hoping for the best and believing in the good intentions of others, we wait until the last minute and then cast the evil off.

Will it be different this time? I doubt it. Just because the sleeping giant does not arise in violence or hate doesn’t mean we are not stronger than ever.

oppressor versus oppressed”
/\

The olde

Top rail
Bottom rail
Fence theory.

Want a simple way to shut these commies up?

If there are ,only, 2 classes

When these “ oppressed bottom rail” commies defeat the

” oppressor top rail”

Are they not logically then the

” new top rail/ oppressor” ?

If there are only 2 classes

Then they become what they rail against ( pun not intended )

Morons.
Mental midgets.

From a historical perspective O.K., however.

And the however is big.

Did the Nazis employ racism and with it oppressed and oppressor class struggle in their language and approach to gaining political traction and power in Germany? Yes.

But the stated theme Critical Race Theory has its own pedigree, its own academic development history, right here in the U.S. in academia and the academics and their writings were not following the Nazis, no matter whether some of the approach was similar. And Critical Race Theory was 1st posited by some black academics studied in Marxist Critical Theory. Seeing Critical Theory as incomplete and not accounting for racism sufficiently they developed their thesis as Critical Race Theory.

So the development was not from the Nazis to Critical Race Theory. Tt grew out of Critical Theory to Critical Race Theory, minus the Nazis.

Hell yes it dead on..

The reality is what we are seeing is very much in the mold of the Fascist / Nazis flavor of Socialism vs Communism...(the big business coop )

Fascism / National Socialism / Communism are all closely related ..three brothers

Good writing and I enjoyed the article. Quite thought provoking and this viewpoint is so spot on that liberals will surely have to call the author a racist.
If Larry Elder can be a white supremacist then everyone is.

Thank you, Madam; this was absolutely brilliant!
I didn't have time to watch the whole thing, I thought, but it was impossible to tear myself away to the very end.

The reason William Federer talks so fast is because he has so much to say. To be honest, I was prepared to understand his message because of my knowledge of the Bible and history but he put a lot that I already knew into perspective so I found the presentation extremely profitable.
