Bring them Home guys..
Hat tip to ALP #4.
I look at those beautiful young face, so bright their souls just shine and I can hardly handle the loss. I can’t begin to tell you how angry I am at the cowards who were supposed to be in command.
Shoot, that made me cry so bad. I’m so disgusted with our government. They did this.
I CAN NOT, get through that song..
Neither of them I posted links to..
That is the way it is.
Thank you.
Thinking about those 13 heroes who will be coming home on their own Angel Flight .... can’t help but cry, literally.
Angel Flight Bump 💔💔💔💔💔
Since we are honoring, remembering, mourning & weeping for our fallen soldiers ...... I’ll add these two. You likely will need tissues.

My God Bless him in his arms and comfort his family.

Such a great loss. To such Great Evil. His killers serve Satan himself.
Yes, and one of them had a wife who is due to deliver in 3 weeks. My heart breaks for their families.
Honored and remembered. Always.
Heartbreaking.

Time is filled with swift transition.
Naught of earth unmoved can stand.
Build your hopes on things eternal -
Hold to God’s unchanging hand!
Trust in Him who will not leave you,
Whatsoever years may bring,
If by earthly friends forsaken
Still more closely to Him cling.
Covet not this world’s vain riches
That so rapidly decay,
Seek to gain the heav’nly treasures,
They will never pass away.
When your journey is completed,
If to God you have been true,
Fair and bright the home in glory
Your enraptured soul will view.
Hold to God’s unchanging hand,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand;
Build your hopes on things eternal,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Yes. Same here.
I've been on one of these missions. But a different theater and a different time. We did use a C-130 on our mission, but that's because C-17s do not routinely fly into Vietnam. We started the final journey home for one of our own that was recovered in Vietnam. We used our regular call sign and we carried no flares and chaff. I'm sure the Vietnamese would be wondering why, if we had. We took the remains to U-Tapao, Thailand, where the journey would continue on a C-17 on a routine channel mission. The eventual destination in this case would be Hawaii, where positive identification would be made at the lab there.
I took this picture from the back of our C-130.
Thank you for sharing a tribute to a fallen soldier, always honor the fallen. I have a story that I will relate another time.
As beautiful as “Amazing Grace” is to hear, I would suggest
another haunting melody.
The “Benedictus of the “Armed Man,” by Karl Jenkins.
There are many performances on you tube or just google it.
Cheers and honor to our fallen,
Bat
