The Liet Gov. under Blanco was Mitch the former Mayor before termed out
but he was in-charge of the
Katrina evacuation .

Current Governor is Edwards. He’s a dem, but about as centrist as his party will allow him to be. He’s been pretty competent in prior hurricanes.
