They can be upwards of 240 miles inland in four days
**********
Not walking. Now if they can catch rides, etc. that’s another
thing. A military march step will get you about four miles in
an hour. Breaks, water, poop, pee, eat, sleep......
Me, when I was young.
We had an event in Edmonton, called “Miles for Millions.” It was a 30km walk and my father took me out to get pledges. People were pledging $1/km, because they thought I would only walk 5km or something and then quit.
My father had to warn them to not do that because I would walk the whole thing with ease and still had a lot of energy to spare.
In my job as security, there are sites where I routinely have walked 30 miles and it’s never been a problem for me.
A lot of people stay because they don’t want to leave their pets behind.
“I hope he is doing well. We really need people like this they are few and far to find.”
You said it. He stepped up to the plate when most people wouldn’t have.
Have a great weekend, FRiend! :)
Julie
Even if they just paced themselves, walk for an hour and rest for an hour. One guy I read about walked 1,000 miles in 40 days on a bet, back at the turn of the century.
NO - better formatted N.O. - New Orleans.
Left New Orleans….etc.
Congrats!!
One of our favorite areas.
Lots of fun family memories, from that area.
“And she’s probably thinking, “Dang! There isn’t a Republican in the White House I can blame this on!”

LOL. That really did make me laugh out loud.
Hope you have lots of fun and laughter, where you can find it, this weekend, FRiend!
DeSantis is only two states over, and Abbott is next door to Louisiana so those are the two logical choices.
I’m one of those guys that can just keep walking. If you’ve ever seen a movie of somebody who is absolutely frightened that he is being followed, but he can’t see what it is but it has been following him for days and he’s freaking.
I’m the reason for the freak-out. :D
Thanks. Florida was a childhood stomping ground. We know lots of people there including a number of FReepers.
The ol chocolate city. Well...good luck y’all.
Did he go to prison for something related to Katrina? In a weird sense, I hope so. Otherwise, that’s not good.
Sorry to hear about Mrs. Blanco. Cancer is a terrible disease; I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
Thank you for the information!
Have a good weekend, FRiend. :)
Julie
You as well.
These days, you don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Yes!!! As long as we get to see another one of those guys, I’m all in!
30 miles in one day is not 60 miles a day for four days in a row.
Have a great weekend too
:)
Btw, the best thing about that pic? The beer he’s got stuffed in his back pocket!
That's what I like, a man who has his priorities straight.
