Taliban fighters are blocking access to Kabul airport as evacuation efforts begin to wind down.
There are still crowds of people outside the airport gates trying to access flights, even though an announcement has been made that no further evacuees will be processed.
Thousands still inside the airfield are guaranteed to be evacuated but it is highly unlikely anyone else outside the airport will be processed.
Earlier, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace told Sky News the evacuation will likely be over in a "matter of hours".
Around 100 members of the UK armed forces left the country this morning and more will be leaving throughout today.

They will brag soon that they got all the Americans (that wanted out) out. They will blow up a few buildings and say the killed the bad guys. And the media will act like biden is amazing.
Aside from the mass Isis/K killings and the chaos, this will hurt the US Dollar and its world reserve status. Look for higher inflation. Lower US dollar means all the China imports are going up in price.

Aljazeera addressed accusations that Taliban were involved in the bombings, and a reporter mentioned two buses the Taliban placed across the road in front of the Abbey Gate. of course, Aljaz said the Taliban denied any involvement.
the ***buses get a mention here:
27 Aug: ABC Australia: Here’s what we know about how the Kabul airport bombings unfolded
By Alexis Moran with wires ABC/AP/Reuters
The Taliban “warned the foreign forces of the repercussions of the large gathering at Kabul airport”, a spokesman for the Taliban’s political office told Al Jazeera TV on Thursday.
The spokesman, Mohammad Naeem, said the gathering of a large number of people prevented adequate security measures from being taken...
***There are reports the two attacks were separate but simultaneous, one by a suicide bomber near buses lined up outside Abbey Gate, where the blast was followed by small arms fire...

while MSM tries to separate Taliban & ISIS-K (or whatever), it was the Taliban who released all the ISIS prisoners around the country.
also, it’s shocking how long BBC and other MSM kept the dead and wounded numbers low, especially given BBC were being told there were many dead by eyewitnesses in Kabul. ABC above, doesn’t even mention either figure!
it’s only in the last few hours that MSM - Russia Today is where I saw it - is reporting it’s 110 dead (clearly rounded out figure, so not accurate) and ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED (1,300) injured! the 13 Americans are allegedly included in the 100 figure.
27 Aug: Mehr News: Death toll from Kabul Airport blasts
hits 110
The death toll after a series of terrorist attacks near the Kabul airport on Thursday reached 110, a source in the Afghan Health Ministry said on Friday.
Earlier in the day, the source said that explosions injured over 1,330 people.

one added thought. how could a bomb large enough to cause such damage get through the Taliban security undetected?
was it in the bus/buses they placed close by, which also kettled in the people who were killed or injured??
Officials told Fox News late Thursday that those killed included 10 Marines, two Army soldiers and a Navy corpsman, correcting earlier reports that 12 Marines were killed.

Wonder how hard they will guard them. We will see if there another attack.
I believe the Taliban elders did and are providing perimeter protection.
However young radical Taliban zealots make up that guard. It is just such a zealot(s) who disregarded the elder Taliban leadership and permitted the ISIS bombings
The Taliban are not homogeneous
They want us out. Once we are out we will have Americans captured. I just wonder if there is a 9/11 thing planned. There or here. That border has been wide open and they are flying in 100,000 people less than 10,000 supposedly Americans.
-——less than 10,000 supposedly Americans.——
To hype his reputation Biden claimed all those leaving as his doing.
Per the Jersalem Post
“Washington has so far evacuated 4,500 US citizens and their families, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday.”
The world gives a big sigh and then just laughs at the joke that is the (drugged out) American President
Then how did these “ISIS” bombers get past them?
Just look at Google Earth - Kabul sits in a basin at the southern end of a narrow valley, widening somewhat at the north, with Bagram in the center of the northern part of the valley - with all of it surrounded by the high mountains of the Hindu Kush.
Abandoning Bagram meant Kabul was immediately isolated and surrounded on all sides.
Its quite obvious, and I’m not even in the military.
Can he be Court Marshaled???
