As Spencer wrote this morning, two bombs exploded near the airport in Kabul. Four US Marines are dead. And we're apparently still going to leave by the time outlined by the Taliban. We're leaving Americans behind. US Troops have been killed. And Biden is still screwing things up.

To Americans who might be trapped in Afghanistan after August 31, the Biden administration has two words for you: good luck. Oh, you can send an email or something to let the Biden White House know you want to leave post-deadline, but the overall message is clear. You’re on your own. Biden is going to leave Americans behind. They’ve admitted it. Why? Well, because they don’t want to anger…the Taliban. Oh, and they trust them to behave. That’s the policy. We shouldn’t have expected much because Democrats are terrible, but holy hell, guys.
The Taliban has set up checkpoints around the airport in Kabul. You can’t get to it. It’s not easy. Americans are having their passports seized. They’re being beaten by Taliban forces. It’s not safe. On top of this fiasco, al-Qaeda and ISIS are on the hunt as well. Everything that Biden has said about Afghanistan has been refuted by EVERYONE, including liberal media outlets. It’s a disaster—and Joe seems to be more concerned about build back better. That’s all you need to know about how much Joe cares; he doesn’t.

With Joe Biden lost in space and Americans still trapped, US forces, what’s left of them, and the CIA are conducting risky rescue operations to bring our people home (via WSJ):
The Central Intelligence Agency and the U.S. military are conducting extraction operations to evacuate Americans using helicopters and ground troops as the window begins to close for rescuing all people at risk in Afghanistan.
The CIA has launched clandestine operations to rescue Americans in and outside of Kabul in recent days, according to U.S. and other officials. The missions are using American military helicopters but under the operation and control of the CIA, a typical arrangement in such operations.
A congressional source knowledgeable about the evacuation effort said U.S. troops had gone into Kabul on joint missions with other allies to designated locations where they have picked up U.S. citizens, green-card holders, and Afghans who hold special visas for helping the U.S. military.
The air and ground operations are considered perilous under the current circumstances in the country as the U.S. has begun to assign priority on evacuating Americans over Afghans who are at risk. Those include the many thousands of Afghan interpreters and others who worked for the U.S. government but remain inside the country and face retribution from the Taliban.

A CIA spokeswoman declined to comment on agency operations in Afghanistan. The military is subject to different disclosure rules and acknowledges American military operations, but the CIA doesn’t.
Pentagon officials acknowledged Wednesday an operation in which they said the military airlifted “less than 20” Americans overnight into Karzai International Airport, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said at a briefing Wednesday.
"I asked President Biden what he will do if Americans are still in Afghanistan after the 8/31 deadline. His response: “You’ll be the first person I call.” Took no questions."

The Biden team knew a collapse was possible. They had multiple memos from the intelligence community and the State Department saying so. They did nothing. They promised our European allies that Kabul would remain secure in June. That was a lie. British Parliament censured Biden which undercuts the president’s lie that our allies are not all that mad at us. The man is eons behind what’s happening. Does he know what’s going on? This is a true crisis. We’re primed to have a hostage situation with an enemy that knows we want out and might just pay multiple ransoms should they just pick up stranded Americans left and right. But it’s ok because Joe Biden has a super awesome plan for universal pre-K.
The majority are sane, but nonetheless conceded to stolen elections.

Airport gates are now welded shut - keeps people out & keeps military in. Now the question is will the runway stay open (1 mortar could take it out) & will the air evac happen without mass casualties. No perimeter beyond airport fence, no buffer zone beyond that, high ground for enemy around airport & they have man-pads. Our guys at the airport are in the worst possible position.
Nothing CIA in the news today is trustworthy (nothing in the news is trustworthy, but that's another topic).
The CIA is the reason we've been in Afghanistan for the last 20 years - running drugs, arms and kids.

If he is not faking dementia, he doesn’t care. Biden doesn’t care about Afghanistan. Why should he? He is the boss, the leader of the Free World, will go down in American history — he just doesn’t care about anything. He gets his library, his wife is happy, his dogs get to bite the CIA personnel... why should he care! Biden can lie every day, but he’s still the glorious leader. There are no consequences for any of these clowns. Nobody gets legally charged, nobody gets prosecuted, nobody goes to jail, nobody is impeached... except for Trump and his friends. There is no accountability for anything: the democrats just do what they want. You can’t be accountable to anything higher than yourself if you are the highest thing in the room... that is how the democrats think. They are the rulers, the aristocrats, the Woke. You can’t contemplate being accountable to the dirty, stinking, Walmart masses if you believe you are their superior elite. As the elite, your hypocrisy and lies are badges of honor that tell others that you are rulers, rulers who can do what they want, who act on a whim. So Biden doesn’t care. His faking dementia is a little game he is playing with himself, his little chuckle party that tells him that he can still fool people. A talent you need when you are as corrupt as all HELL.
I think that sets up an interesting scenario...the states can still hold separate elections from the Feds. Virginia holds its Governor and state legislature elections in off years for example. The Constitution does allow for “congressional changes” to federal elections but the constitution still allows the state legislatures to approve electors for the president. The congress can’t change that without a constitutional amendment.
What that means is that the states could hold state funded plebiscites that direct the state legislatures to choose the electors outside of the federal purview. The legislatures could also decide just to choose the electors based on the numbers of their respective parties in the legislature....a sort of proportional representation in the choosing of the electors.
The states could also stop any supportive funding of federal elections(congress and senate)...basically telling congress...”you wanted control, then you set up the tables the offices, the voting booths, the machines, those who count at the district level and they could also forbid that the state SOS’s have any part in dealing with federal elections...only the state elections.
House Resolution 4 if passed by the senate will be in the courts for a while. The congress can take over federal elections but they can’t supersede state and local elections, nor can they direct any proposed constitutional amendments be passed by the state legislatures by federal rules....only by the rules of each state. The congress has actually dug a trap for itself. The states can now withdraw the local resources the Democrats’ local useful idiots have used to cheat in the federals. The congress will have much more exposure should the Dem’s try to cheat because the Feds will have to fund the entire operation. The states can say to the Feds...your rules, your funding, not ours since we have no more say in federal elections. State and local elections will become much more important and the states can run those elections how they wish. The state legislatures do have a constitutional mandate to approve electors and the congress can not interfere with how they are chosen. The best way for the legislatures to do that that would with stand the courts is to chose the electors by means of proportional numbers of their members in the legislatures. For those smaller states the math will have be broken down as best as they can...for example a state with 3 electors can give the governor an elector for his party and the legislature can choose 2 as they wished.
If the feds wish to federalize their elections...fine let them pay for it without any state and local help whatsoever. The states can do their own thing with states and local elections.
It only federalizes the federal elections not the states’ elections and many states have off year elections from the feds that the Feds don’t pay for. The states can simply refuse to fund federally run elections and to provide no local funds and support that the Dem’s local useful idiots have used to help cheat in the federals. The congress has dug a judicial and logistical trap for itself and the law will be in the courts for years if the senate passes it. The senate and congressional elections will be divorced from the states but so can the state and local funding. The states have actually been doing a favor in support of the federal elections but now there will be little reason for them to do so now that the states have been told that they have no say. The fed gov will have to get it’s own people, its own voting places, its own support apparatus. The states don’t have to do a thing to help them.

Well, now they’ll just have more asylum court hearings with sympathetic judges and everyone will be granted asylum.
Let’s see. Give them 10 minutes to fill each courtroom with, say, 50 folks. They all say they’re scared to go back home. All granted asylum at one time. About 10 minutes to empty the courtroom. Be generous and they can do 50 at time in 45 minutes. About 1000 a day in one courtroom.
