Gov. Gavin Newsom's Friday rally at the Cow Palace in Daly City is now a no-go after Vice President Kamala Harris announced that she would no longer be in attendance.
Politico reporter Carla Marinucci broke the news via Nathan Click, a Democratic strategist and former communications guy for both Newsom and Harris. The report did not confirm why Harris no longer is scheduled to appear, but the announcement came hours after American forces were killed in bombings in Kabul, Afghansistan.

Recall Bill and What's-her-name's speaking tour? " An Evening with the Clintons, or something quite similar? IIRC, major ticket price reductions, including groupon promotions, didn't move many peeps to sit in attendance.
Presumably, some tix went for free, or close to it.
(And, as an unrelated aside, if What's-her-name couldn't get anyone into hear her and Bill at bargie prices, just how did she command 6 figs for speeches a few years earlier?)
