The founder of controversial private military contractor Blackwater, who sparked a furious reaction on Wednesday with his $6,500 evacuation flights from Kabul, has told how his men helped to rescue Joe Biden from Afghanistan in 2008 when his helicopter made an emergency landing.
Erik Prince, 52, was described on Wednesday by White House press secretary Jen Psaki as having no soul, and of profiting from 'people's agony and pain'.
Yet Prince, who founded Blackwater in 1997, reminded that Tucker Carlson his team rescued Biden himself.
Biden was the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee at the time of the February 2008 rescue, and was plucked to safety alongside John Kerry, then a senator for Massachusetts; and Chuck Hagel, then a senator for Nebraska, from the country.
Kerry went on to become Barack Obama's secretary of state, while Biden was vice president and Hagel was defense secretary.

The White House seems to think abandoning Americans is morally superior to charging a price for evacuation.
he’s NOT a charity!
$6500 is nothing since i heard on NPR no less, of others charging $25,000... PERHEAD!!! feh
Evacuation is expensive, especially the security provided. Blackwater should give Biden and Kerry a refund, after dropping them back into Afghanistan. We would all be better off.
Should have left him for the Taliban.
Benedict Biden: THAT’S HIS NAME!
Destroying America: THAT’S HIS GAME!!
The White House seems to think abandoning Americans is morally superior to charging a price for evacuation.
If someone else can do it cheaper, then the government can hire them.
I sure would not do it for that price.
The government should pay it.
What do we give to foreign countries per year?
Two days ago the government floated out THEY were going to charge $2500/person. What a bunch of dumbasses!
Guess what? If Blackwater couldn’t make a profit doing this, they wouldn’t be doing it at all. And nobody else would step up to do it either.
The US government itself should be paying that $6,500 fee, it’s a bargain to get out the trapped Americans. Especially since this administration itself has proven to be incompetent in this matter.
Erik Prince can charge whatever to evacuate whoever he pleases. But I demand an apology if he saved Biden and Kerry.
Only $6500. A cheap price to pay to save your life. This includes the tough part of getting you into the airport which, alone, is worth well over 6500. The actual flight is the easy part
And how much are the taxpayers being charged per head to evacuate? I bet it’s a lot more the $6,500/head. Not only is costing us money to evacuate U.S. citizens and unvetted Afghani’s, but it is also costing soldiers their lives.
$6500 to get the hell out of Kabul is a definite bargain.
Planes, fuel, retired Navy Seals for protection - this all costs money. Its not Fed.gov where they can just create debt and have the Federal Reserve monetize it.
2. Remember the US government listed a flight out of Kabul at $2000.
Come on, man!
Biden and Psaki and many (if not most all) Gov’t employees have no understanding of real world costs. They don’t pay for anything, they don’t write the checks, they only spend other people’s money thinking it’s theirs.
A first class ticket would be twice that price. Yeah you get free champagne a large seat and ok food - but that doesn’t pay for warzone security to get the plane in and out with you on it.
