New York Governor Kathy Hochul revealed 12,000 more people died of COVID-19 than was reported under her disgraced predecessor, making good on her promise for greater transparency on just her second day leading the state.

The state is now reporting a total of 55,400 people died in New York from coronavirus

That's an increase of 12,000 over the 43,400 reported https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-updates-new-yorkers-states-progress-during-covid-19-pandemic-229 by Andrew Cuomo as of his last day in office before resigning in disgrace amid a sexual harassment scandal.

"We're using CDC numbers, which will be consistent. And so there's no opportunity for us to mask those numbers," Hochul told National Public Radio on Wednesday.

"These are presumed and confirmed deaths. People should know both," Hochul told NPR.

It's not like she just rolled into Albany two days ago on a turnip truck. She was Lt. Governor - 2nd in charge - while all this was going on. She knew all along .. and did nothing about.

Ok, for the moment I’ll assume this number is halfway close to accurate. Say, +/- 50%.

Hochul just now found this out? How the hell does that happen? Bidenitis? Simple total dereliction of her oath?

Ok, I’ll be generous and grant that she did know. How the hell does this not result in a organized march by Cuomo’s Cabinet and Dept. heads to his office and drag him out, kicking and screaming? Or, at a minimum, at least a damning press conference by Hochul and the Dept. heads.
