Anyone try and get ribs for a BBQ or to smoke this summer??

They are almost twice the price per pound and they look like crap. They were fine through May then BAM! $7.50 a pound and they look like they are a year old in my area.

I can’t speak in general terms, but the processing plants in SW Missouri by my sister-in-law are a hotbed of COVID disease. They’ve had a lot of missed production.

Our local meat market runs different specials each week. Fresh cut, quality stuff

Ribeyes are up 3 bucks at $10.99/lb. (Other market over $20)

Ribs this week are $2.49

Between the meat market, and Dollar General, I rarely have to go to the grocery

Not gonna get cheaper. Dominican Republic just culled 30,000 hogs so far under thepreat of African swine flu spread. China has a similar problem.
