I choose not to play in the tourist/populated venues anywhere, where a vast majority of these crimes play out. Well, I do congregate with folks, but then that is at a rifle range occupied by 30-500 folks with high powered rifles.... I feel safe.
On the other hand, I tread where I can be armed as a general rule. I avoid as much as possible ( today, went “nekkid” onto a mil installation to get arthritis meds) felt rather irked about it all I tell ya! Almost walked in a slight arc, being that my left hip was lighter than usual....
Felt so much better when I got home and clipped the normal packages to my gun belt.
Really, I go armed 99% of the time. Why don’t these tourista folks? Go armed, I mean? Don’t they know the stats? Feral critters abound in urban/play areas. Unless you are hunting, stay out of the woods.
