What about being gay? Their health costs are far higher than normal people.

Since vaccinated can still get covid, if you have natural immunity DO YOU GET A $200 PER MONTH DISCOUNT??!
To: Stravinsky
Only a small price to pay to keep up the vax protest./sarc

Arbitrary and capricious lawsuit would be a winner since natural immunity is not being considered.

"You pay higher rates if you smoke. I don’t see the issue." Alexander Hamilton was so right when he said, "People get the government they deserve." You deserve this current government.
When when they start shutting off our cell service because we are not vaccinated you will be on this forum commenting "Start tour own phone company."
Pathetic.

Delta appears to have about 74,000 full time employees.
That comes to about $14,800,000.00 a month.
$177,600,000.00 a year.
How many Delta employees are actually in the hospital FOR covid?
I bet Delta will not say.

Normally we could expect a big fight from the Delta unions, but not now.

Ah, so blacks get charged more for insurance? Civil rights lawsuit, anyone?
To: PGR88
Did they not just violate the Americans With Disabilities Act and HIPAA rules? No. Some companies already charge higher premiums for smokers. This isn't any different.

So Americans have freedom——if they can afford it financially. It's always been that way.
To: bigdaddy45
You pay higher rates if you smoke. I don’t see the issue. That’s life insurance not health insurance - if we start down this path with health insurance, people could be charged based on their BMI, etc

Like most covid tyrannies, there are precedents for this in the smoking world. Commiecare allows premium hikes on smokers and employers can discriminate based on whether or not you’re a smoker.

Alexander Hamilton was so right when he said, "People get the government they deserve." You deserve this current government. You are aware we're talking about a corporation and not the government? Shouldn't something like this be a matter for the corporation decide? Or would you have the government mandate how they will handle their benefits package for their employees?

Do homosexual men pay more? How about women of childbearing age?
These are probably the two most costly demographic cohorts in any group health plan.

Or what about one of the highest risk factors for covid and many other diseases obese people? If you're not obese and under the age of 80 years old then covid is not something that is going to kill you.
