Vice President Kamala Harris is under fire for laughing when asked about the deadly chaos in Afghanistan — before Singapore’s prime minister pointed out during a press conference with Harris that the Biden administration’s exit plan went “awry.”
The VP — heavily criticized for her delay in addressing the disaster that started after the US pulled out despite the Taliban’s resurgence — was already grinning widely when she approached reporters Friday.
A reporter attempted to ask about her “response on Americans” — but the VP cut her off before she could finish.
“Hold on, hold on — slow down, everybody!” Harris said, before letting out her now-notorious laugh, shaking her shoulders as she chuckled.

If the GOPe were started an independent effort to track and rescue Americans abandoned in Afghanistan it would save a lot of lives. It's what a political party would do if they truly were "loyal opposition" and truly cared about Americans but they will not, probably to protect the guilty and the sad legacy of the neocon Bush Crime Family.

Well...she’s not completely stupid because that’s exactly what some in the administration were going to do to her. They wanted to make her the face of failure. Same for the border crisis. From her point of view its better to walk away and be accused of neglect than be branded as an epic failure. Her refusal to play the fall gal left Biden holding the bag. Willie Brown taught her well. LOL

The symptoms I’ve seen are the same as a problem called “emotional incontinence.” Sufferers can’t control their emotional response. A sufferer may laugh at inappropriate times and at inappropriate events; funerals, gruesome deaths, someone else’s broken arm. Or, they may cry or sound like they’re on the verge of crying for no apparent reason. They know the response is inappropriate but can’t do anything about it.
The scientific name for the condition is pseudobulbar affect, or PBA. It’s also known as emotional incontinence.

Imagine the alternate history had Bush had the wisdom to stop when we had exacted revenge. Same can be said for his foolish occupation of Iraq. 20 years of grinding our military and our economy into the dirt could have been avoided.

My son did 4 tours there and was lucky to come out alive.
BUT, Afghanistan and Iraq didn’t grind either our military or our economy into the dirt.
Heck, Democrats are already planning to spend multiples of what was spent over 20 years in the next few months.
Every time I hear that nervous laugh, she reminds me of Arthur Fleck - but with twice the layer of makeup.
