The Cheney’s wanted a long drawn out war with lots of defense contractors getting rich off the money we borrow from China to sustain a massive federal budget with massive debt.
The US decided decades ago not to win its wars when Truman fired MacArthur.
So in Vietnam it was pull out time in 1975 and Trump wanted to do it right in Afghanistan in 2021 to save the money and put America First but he got the boot from folks like Cheney in 2020.
Also they had no interest in going after Osama Bin Laden.
I agree with you.... but I would mention that those defense companies are publicly traded. I retired at age 53.....
