Won’t be easy if the Taliban close the airport and fire on any incoming planes with sufrace to air missiles or AA guns. Its a logistical nightmare due to the Biden cabals stupidity. This is what happens when the Joint Chiefs of Staff becomes just another woke Federal bureaucracy controlled by commissars. General Milley sadly is just another pole climbing political general. He has of course lost the confidence and respect of most of the officer corp and is being openly savaged by retired officers. However this is little solace to the 6,000 brave young Marines and soldiers who now find themselves isolated and surrounded by power drunk Taliban who are itching to even the score.

Good question. The Taliban can mortar those runways and close that airport at any time. The troops are trapped, just like the people outside the wire.
