Sorry for your loss. I’m always wanting to hear specifics of a COVID death. Was he obese? Senior in age? Heart problems?
You don’t have to answer if it doesn’t feel right.
I had a friend years ago before COVID who died of liver cancer. He had gone cold turkey on alcohol when diagnosed with cirrhosis. Then cancer developed. He was a very close friend who committed to quit drinking wanting a new lease on life. But death took him anyways. Made me understand we need to adopt a healthy lifestyle before disease hits, not after.
You are correct. Time to buy insurance is before the catastrophic event.
Americans over age 50 rarely exercise. In my doctors office there is a plaque. It says food is the most utilized tool to relieve stress, and exercise is the least utilized tool.
Time to begin exercise routine is before bad health happens.
I can indulge in fatty steaks with abandon now due to regular exercise. Before exercise, I would get chest pains after eating an 8 Oz steak.
No comorbidity
He had taken great measure to increase his vitamin D.....and was proud of his new levels
Pretty healthy
Healthy folks die from Covid...he’s not the first I’ve known...I was associated with him....he’d been a deacon at my prior church and helped me twice with his radio power locally
The last being very recently
We were not close friends so I don’t want to give that impression
He was close with his family. He was more moderate than me but still on our side.
I first met him when he rallied immigration demonstrations in 2004-2005
He was a good guy...healthy
That’s the rub about Covid
One I used to deny....but I’ve seen three healthy folks die from it since
Yet I barely noticed it....and I’m on life six of nine with serious co morbidity
As are my 85 and 86 year old aunt uncle in Gladewater Texas
We all took copious plaquenil and z pak and horrible zinc elixir
Who knows....
I’d welcome a real vax...a real one that works and isn’t so side effect laden
