As Taliban return in Afghanistan, how is sharia law followed in Muslim world?

With the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, there are fears that the Islamist group will reimpose its harsh interpretation of sharia law.

Most Muslim nations incorporate elements of sharia in their legal systems, particularly in family law.

Yet some media reports are that this is a kinder, gentler Taliban.

The Taliban were cruel when in power before. They were very restrictive about women’s behavior, and public beheadings happened.

Rules of Engagement with Muslims -

If Infidels are present, Sunni with unite with Shi’a sects to enslave (physical, sex, monetary), convert, and annihilate all Infidels.

If no Infidels present, Sunni will turn against Shi’a until one or the other is enslaved or annihilated.

The rising population of Muslims over 1200 years shows the effectiveness of their tactics.

Good question. I saw some news clips on the news where the Taliban leaders were doing interviews with western media outlets. They may have concerns about their image in the world. But if so, punishments and beheadings may well just happen in private.

I heard some disturbing chatter too, that Taliban fighters were giving praises to Allah, over how easily they took over the country, and that this must be the work of Allah, on their behalf. They are committed to a very orthodox form of Islam.
