As the California governor recall election takes off, efforts to sabotage the Elder candidacy and those who voted for the recall are in full force.
There are already reports of efforts to steal the California governor election for Gavin Newsom. No one likes Newsom. He was horrible over the past year in instituting draconian measures to inhibit freedom during the COVID crisis. He is hated.
So the Democrats have to cheat some more.
A couple of examples are provided below.
In this first example, Republican candidate Larry Elder is noticeably impacted by the way the ballot was created and folds added to the ballot. This is a low-tech hack of a ballot.
When folds run through candidate vote space it either does not scan and forces adjudication OR outright misaligns and auto-cancels the vote.

I have. Early votes here in MA are folded and put into envelopes. Totally stupid. I don’t trust the machines to read a folded ballot.

If these things go through RCV-enabled voting machines, the fix is already in.
Even if every vote is a legal vote, the election can still be rigged using those machines.

the demacrat party is commuting suicide. might win an election through cheating but every time they do something like this they permanently lose voters for other candidates for other offices. eventually shaving percentages off of election does not work. We might of reached this point of time in California. we will find out.
To the (probable Democrat) Operatives who created the ballot, the fault is Larry Elder’s! Remember that California’s Secretary of State, Shirley Weber (D), informed Elder’s Campaign in the final hour of qualification on Sunday, July 18th, that his submitted tax returns had problems that disqualified him as a candidate!
While he won that biased battle as the requirement cited was a problematical one passed to try to keep President Trump off of the 2020 Ballot, still, this is the obvious defense (/sarc) of the bureaucrats for ‘folding’ his name! If he had just stayed out of their fun and games, there would have been no problems here! The fact is that California is far along the path to being an exemplar to any good autocrat!
If fraud is possible, it is not by negligence, it is by design; otherwise it - the process - would not have been designed to facilitate fraud.

There generally aren't 46 candidates for the same office during a mail-in election. What a circus Californian politics have become!

I think it varies according to county. I live in San Diego County and I can't get the "Yes" oval to line up with the hole no matter how I turn it because the hole is to the right of the signature line rather than the left. Other Californian Freepers have reported no hole in their envelope at all.
I just checked my ballot - Los Angeles County.
There ARE holes in the return envelope that line up and go all the way through - I couldn’t get the holes to line up correctly to show my YES vote (recall the bastard).
If you turn over the ballot, the YES vote is impossible to see through the holes.
STILL....WHY TF are there holes in the return envelope in the first place?

Yes, but with only 65-100 signatures required anyone with any kind of social media following can get the minimum number.

And in a scathing new report from Politico, Elder’s ex-fiancé says he once held a gun to her head while he was on drugs.Alexandra Datig remembers a fight in which:

Larry Elder said this is not true and that he has never held a gun to anyone's head.

3500 bucks is trivial for a politician but kind of pricey for a schmuck like me.
I thought it might be cool to have “Former candidate for Governor of California” on my obit but 500 bucks would probably be my limit.
