Australia Is What Democrats Wish We Could Become

When you think of places like Australia, you think they’re just like us – they speak English and love freedom. Well, they do speak English, that much is true, but do they really love freedom like we do? Considering Democrats have control of government, it makes me wonder if we really love freedom all that much.

Putting that aside, the way governments all across Australia are conducting themselves during this pandemic should make everyone realize that the similarities may well just end at language. More importantly to us, what is happening in Australia is what Democrats would love to do here, so it’s important to keep an eye on.

The state of New South Wales is an extremely large state on Australia’s southeast coast. You probably haven’t heard of it before, but it’s the state Sydney is in. It’s under complete lockdown due to COVID-19.

Upon hearing that you’d think COVID is running rampant, out of control, and extreme house arrest for everyone is the only way to prevent genocide. It’s not, not even close.

The population of New South Wales is 8.2 million. The number of COVID cases in those 8.2 million people is 13,503. Not currently, but throughout the entire pandemic. There have been 102 deaths – again, not this week or month, but over the last year and half.

Don’t get me wrong, each case is scary and every death is tragic, but some perspective is important. It’s important because the state is still currently on lockdown, and has been for the last 7 weeks. The lockdown is complete and total, with police actively pursuing anyone who leaves their house for any reason.

On its Facebook page, the NSW police put up a lengthy post reading, in part, “The NSW Police Force will launch Operation STAY AT HOME from 12.01am Monday 16 August 2021, in a significant boost to public health order enforcement efforts across the state.”

It continues, “1400 officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command will be dedicated to both static and mobile COVID-19 compliance operations on the state’s roads. A further 500 Australian Defence Force troops, in addition to the 300 already deployed, will assist with compliance checks and patrols.” It sounds more Soviet than anything else.

Further, the post quotes Deputy Commissioner of Police Mal Lanyon, saying, “The level of non-compliance by some members of the community is unacceptable and we will be doubling down with compliance and enforcement to make sure we get ahead of the Delta strain. It only takes one person to do the wrong thing to facilitate considerable spread of the virus.”

To that end, Lanyon informs the public that there will be a steep price to pay if you disobey government and leave your house for unauthorized purposes. “We will be issuing $5,000 fines to people and closing any businesses which continue to breach the health orders, and will not apologise (sic) for these increased enforcement efforts going forward,” he said.

At the current exchange rate, 5,000 Australian dollars is $3,684 USD, nothing to sniff at for leaving your house to visit family in another. “There will be nowhere to hide if you are doing the wrong thing. If you travel anywhere beyond your LGA (government approved area of travel based on where you live) at the moment, you are putting everyone else in NSW at considerable risk,” the police conclude.

They then ask for citizens to call police to report anyone who dare travel unnecessarily or beyond the area they’re allowed to for health care or food shopping.

The responses to the post are what you’d expect in tone, but perhaps not in quantity. There are always people ready to obey authority, it’s how totalitarian regimes maintain power even though they are a distinct minority. What’s disturbing is how completely those people bow to power, out of fear or whatever. How they chastise their fellow citizens for daring to question authority is unsettling, to say the least.

Australia and the United States are both English-speaking countries what are ostensibly free. The similarities between the two counties end there. Australia was founded as a penal colony, it appears to be reverting back into one. It’s nothing like the United States, but it’s everything Democrats would love to force this country to become.

"...do they really love freedom like we do?..."

I was going to fire back almost exactly what he said in his next words: "...Considering Democrats have control of government, it makes me wonder if we really love freedom all that much..."

It seems, at this point, we are well on our way.

In both cases it is true.

I will say, I am astonished to see many Leftists (and some not so Left) extolling the virtues of the way the Communists are running things in their country.

And they can now say it in public. Not only with no repercussions...they get active support from one of the two main political parties, and some support from the other.

I don’t get it. How can people voluntarily choose (or think they want to choose) that way of living?

It is a mental illness.

There is a weird guy on YouTube that claimed to be a time traveler from the year 2036.

He said there was a civil war but that his ‘enemy’ was the forces of the government we live under now.

The CW ended up causing global war, with russia nuking his enemy.

It’s freaky enough but it’s even freakier when you consider he posted this in the year 2000.

It involves multi-dimensional universes and how each one is different than the others- and one of his big points of difference (in OUR ‘timeline’) was that Y2K was not a big deal on our timeline, while it was on his timeline. Which caused massive disruption.

CW2 started in 2005 on his timeline because of Y2K, but if you hear his description of the events leading up to the CW it sounds EXACTLY LIKE NOW. He mockingly points to our ‘elections’ too.

The end result is that The Constitution was restored. (with changes to make sure the Fed did not get so much control)

Go on youtube and search for “The posts of John Titor” if you’ like to check it out.

Titor was interesting, but proven wrong when he didn’t mention anything happening in 2001. Just a decent enough time travel hoax.

Adolf Hitler was frankly puzzled that the British did not become allies with him quickly, thus joining two Nordic nations under one ideology. Truth is, Great Britain was half-way to the Fascist state in the 1930’s under Labor government, which was running a program similar to FDR’s New Deal in the US at the time. Little wonder, then, that Neville Chamberlain returned from Munich waving “a peace of paper”, which Hitler signed with great enthusiasm. The agreement was understood quite differently by the two parties.

This same schizophrenic policy was part of the political mix of virtually every part of the British Empire at the time. And at no time have the various elements of the British Empire ever embraced anything like the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, as delineated in the Second Amendment. That was always a “right” granted by the British royalty to the subjects.

It’s worse. Read an article years ago that stated what Obama wants is the South African model, with land confiscation, etc.

The ‘multi-universe’ explanation covers that. He even says so himself. In HIS timeline Y2K happened, but not on ours.

With the multi-universe explanation there is literally no such thing as ‘proven wrong’. Our universe is just divergent from his.

But a lot of the things he said made no sense in the year 2000. But they make a ton of sense now. He talked about CERN - in the year 2000!

When hardly anyone knew what CERN was. He talked about content provided by internet- with people making their own videos. I don’t think YouTube was invented until 3 or 4 years later.

Australia has had 32 deaths of people under 60, out of 973 total, in a country of 25 million.

They can't hide, the virus will wait for them to come out.

Maybe they were always destined to be a penal colony.

My brother in law is an Aussie and normally spends half the year in the states and the other in Australia. Currently he is stuck in the States. His daughters and grandkids are under total lockdown. Were he to return he would be in total quarantine for 14 days at a government approved facility…certainly no luxury hotel…and have to pay for the cost. Of course he is fully vaccinated, but to the COVID Inquisition that makes no difference. After being released from quarantine he would be under virtual house arrest. His kids tell him that even if you are approved to go somewhere, you must wear a mask even if you are alone in your car.

Last weekend over some cigars sitting by a lake in the somewhat free People’s Republic of Minnesota, I asked him why the Aussies haven’t rebelled. I noted even the French are rebelling against proposed vaccine passports and mandatory vaccination with 250,000 marching in Paris. He sadly just shrugged.

I fail to understand why the Aussies aren’t defying these ridiculous orders, demanding that the politicians resign and new elections be called immediately. You would think that some conservative political party would capitalize on this idiocy to sweep the elections. But so far the Aussies seem content to allow their country to once again be a penal colony.

The problem is that anyone can make up any future if all options are available and nothing can be predicted.

Then ONLY reason we’re not like Australia right now is that the Leftists still DO NOT have uncontested power, as they do in Australia, obviously.

But we can help the Leftists here! All we have to do is sit out November election to make sure a few more Democrats get elected, and then we will become JUST LIKE AUSTRALIA*.

*and no, Civil War 2 won’t happen, not possible (see my home page if you don’t understand why that’s the case).

We have many weak politicians who will not tell the mayors and governors enough. You have no standing and we will not allow dictators in this country. Yet them roll over and do not do their job.

"The lockdown is complete and total, with police actively pursuing anyone who leaves their house for any reason." Not true.

I'm getting really sick of the lies about what is going on here. Not accusing you of lying - you're just sharing an article and even the person who wrote the article might believe it because they've been lied to.

The situation is not good but lying about it doesn't help anybody.

People can leave home to shop for essentials (broadly defined but the intent is things like groceries), to exercise, to go to work if their workplace is still open (many are closed but not everything), to provide care to others who need it, to go to educational establishments (most are closed but there are exceptions for various reasons).

Like I say, there's plenty of restrictions. But making it out to be worse than it is is doing nobody any favours.
