Event:
The security situation in Kabul continues to change quickly, including at the airport. U.S. citizens should continue to shelter in place. U.S. citizens wanting assistance to depart the country should register for any option that might be identified to return to the United States. To receive assistance from the Embassy, U.S. citizens must complete this Repatriation Assistance Request for each traveler in their group. Spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens in Afghanistan who are awaiting immigrant visas should also complete this form if they wish to depart. Please do so as soon as possible. Please do so only once. You must complete this form even if you’ve previously submitted your information to the U.S. Embassy in Kabul by another means.
Do not call the U.S. Embassy in Kabul for details or updates about the flight. This form is the only way to communicate interest in flight options. We will notify you directly by email based on your registration as soon as departure options become available.
We will continue to provide periodic updates to this message.

Yep, Do Not Call Us. How well is this going to work for American citizens hearing gunshots in their neighborhood, hear banging on the door, etc.? This is a total embarrassment for the US, Biden should resign immediately.
No Internet, no email...Oops.
(What happened to that brilliant “contingency plan”...)
They never had a plan, unbelievable.
Good thing all those people hiding for their lives in the city are guaranteed access to electricity and a solid wifi signal.
And I see reports that there may be as many as 40,000 US citizens in Afghanistan, not just the 10,000 initially reported. At 150 people a day, yesterdays evacuation rate, it will take Biden more than 266 days to evacuate US citizens, they expect them to shelter in places or almost a year?!
I’m sure Internet and cell service is widely available. /sarc
This reads as though some unknown external force caused the situation.
This is going well.
40,000 citizens are probably good for at least 100,000 relatives back home.
That is 230 citizens per Congressional district who will make it their number one priority in life to harass their Congress-critter until their family members get home....
This is gonna be Congress held hostage, and you better believe Congress knows what is heading their way....
And they had better be blaming Biden for this debacle. Blood on his hands if any American is killed or injured.
The families will be focusing on getting their loved ones back—first, second and last priority.
The Congressperson is to blame if that does not happen.
They don’t give a &&^% about Biden.
“At 150 people a day, yesterdays evacuation rate, it will take Biden more than 266 days to evacuate US citizens, they expect them to shelter in places or almost a year?!”
I have the perfect solution.
Send General Milley over there with a brigade to organize an overland caravan evacuation via Gandak and Jalalabad. When they stop in Gandamak, General Milley can speak to the Taliban along the route about White Rage and Transgenderism.
Let’s give his new command a catchy name. Let’s call it the Elphinstone Brigade.
The “What are the chances?” contingent should never be put in charge of contingency plans.
Hey, Gen. Milley!
You wanna understand ‘white rage’?
Stand by. I think you may find it coming from every race in America.
Just sayin...
Plenty of time for Americans to get out after May 1st. That’s the date the Taliban agreed to. The entire country, Kabul slightly less so, was still very dangerous before last week. When will people grow up and learn that money isn’t everything, especially living in a place like that for it?
What pisses me off is that there ‘American-Americans’ and there are likely ‘Afghan-Americans’. The first group is OBVIOUS. If they look Western, speak perfect English, and don’t have a rocket launcher strapped to their back, they’re almost certainly Americans and evacuated. But if look like Afghans, then yes, they should be screened first.
How many of those US citizens, do you suppose, are Democrats?
