During an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) said the border is the worst national security crisis the country faces and it’s “easier to get across our southern border than it is to get a table for dinner in New York City.”
Hagerty said: “This is the gravest national security crisis that we face as a nation. They’ve come and they’ve absolutely collapsed the border. Maria, it’s now easier to get across our southern border than it is to get a table for dinner in New York City. This is preposterous, and the level of COVID transmission that’s coming across the border too, in the midst of a pandemic, they’re doing this. They have absolutely destroyed our national security at the southern border, created a crisis. They’re fueling the cartels and the coyotes, too. They’re just providing more and more messaging for them to send more and more vulnerable people across the border, whether they’re COVID-positive or not, they’re sending them across the border and they’re also sending more fentanyl into my state and into states all across this nation and killing our kids. It’s just a tragic situation, and to think that Mayorkas still has his job performing like this. In corporate America, this would never stand.”

That’s where stolen elections lead.
Driving voters from sure ground nyc to the red suburbs to turn them blue. Suffolk county the East half of li is red. Was red in 2016 and before.
That strikes me as an odd comparison for a Senator from Tennessee to make. I’m glad he’s talking about the border, and I think Senator Hagerty is pretty solid, but this sounds like something a Washington politician says. How many of his constituents would make that comment? Weird.
The “gravest national security crisis” is the fact the regime can lock up as many 1/6 protesters as they want, indefinitely, easier than they can hit the McDonald’s drive thru. There is no national security when we are not safe to live as Americans in our own homes.
Murdering our unborn. Celebrating homosexuality as if it were acceptable. Promoting demonic religions. Etc.
Dan 4:17: .............. that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. KJV
The fools in our military are too busy reading Marx to protect our borders. And too busy being buttered up by military contractors and weeding conservatives out of the ranks - people who can see the emperor and his men have no clothes...
Agree. I was and still am concerned that Hagerty has RINO potential, but former RINO senators Alexander, Corker, and Frist would have never talked about the border. Tennessee is deep red, and for too long were ruled by RINOs. Blackburn and Hagerty are way better than what we've had.
——Tennessee is deep red——
You are correct with a caveat. Tennessee votes Republican and not necessarily purely conservative.
In my district, perhaps the most conservative of all, a very conservative person, Davis, was elected to the House. He narrowly defeated the strong Republican Roe, and a host of others.. In the next election, the conservative Davis was defeated by Roe the Republican
My belief is that Tennessee is moderate on the bell curve but Republican, and thus Red
No question about it. And you don't need a mask or show vaccination passport...
“Blackburn and Hagerty are way better than what we’ve had.”
Completely agree, they are significant upgrades. It was really awful when it was Corker and Alexander. Lamar did a lot of good for the state, but man did he ever go past his sell-by date.
Interesting that this guy has the nerve to criticize Biden’s handling of the southern border — or anything else for that matter.
Hagerty and his fellow TN Senator Blackburn VOTED TO CERTIFY the fraudulent election on January 6. The way I see it, he’s complicit. He needs to STFU, or try to redeem himself by pushing for audits in every state. (Can they rescind their Jan. 6 votes? I doubt it.)
