U.S. Allies, World Leaders Blast Biden Over Afghanistan Debacle, Question U.S. Resolve

America’s closest allies said Sunday that President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan left them questioning the United States’ resolve and Biden’s leadership.

The Washington Post reports that U.S. allies are complaining “that they were not fully consulted on a policy decision that potentially puts their own national security interests at risk — in contravention of President Biden’s promises to recommit to global engagement” and that “many around the world are wondering whether they could rely on the United States to fulfill long-standing security commitments stretching from Europe to East Asia.”

Leaders in the United Kingdom, a close ally of the United States and a cooperative leader in the global war on terror since the George W. Bush administration, had some of the harshest criticism for Biden on Sunday.

Fox News reported that U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson pinned the blame for the collapse of Afghanistan on Biden himself. “Johnson said it was ‘fair to say the US decision to pull out has accelerated things, but this has in many ways been a chronicle of an event foretold,’ but urged western leaders to work together to prevent Afghanistan from again becoming a ‘breeding ground for terrorism.’”

“I think it is very important that the West should work collectively to get over to that new government – be it by the Taliban or anybody else – that nobody wants Afghanistan once again to be a breeding ground for terror and we don’t think it is in the interests of the people of Afghanistan that it should lapse back into that pre-2001 status,” Johnson said.

They call it questioning resolve.

The new nice way. It’s called having a bunch of idiots in charge.

In the old days it was called questioning your ability to do your job.

If you get that label, your time is short.

"There are no public statements on the president’s agenda for Monday and the White House has called a lid on press availability through Monday evening."

America needs and deserves a permanent "lid" on Gropy Joe.

We're going to 'pay' big time for the stupidity of Biden's team for years to come. Maybe the fools running the Pentagon and State Department should spend less time reading Marx and more time doing their jobs... Or better yet, they should resign in shame.

I understand you sentiment. But consider. President Trump was this brash loud businessman with zero experience in the political game who, shockingly said what was on his mind. The leaders of other nations, all experienced political ‘pros’ found this to be quite unsettling.

The fact that he actually pulled off foreign-policy victories and seemed to be leading the U.S. to unprecedented prosperity in ways made it worse. What if politically inexperienced professional men and women started coming after their jobs? So they naturally felt drawn to Biden who had been in the ‘game’ for his entire adult life.

They overlooked, or ignored the fact that Biden had never been particularly good at the ‘game’ and that he was clearly showing signs of advanced dementia during the election when on the rare occasion he emerged from his basement he drew crowds of dozens at best.

The fact that they now are acknowledging what a disaster Biden/Harris is is a good thing, for both them and for us. Their ‘rooting’ and hoping for Biden to replace Trump contributed next to nothing to the results of 2020. That is on our heads alone.

Our press is covering its ears going ‘la la la’, but at least their press is covering the disaster that is Biden/Harris.

Can’t help but wonder what’ll happen next.
