Pa. lays out plan for COVID-19 testing in school, urges schools, parents to opt in

Pennsylvania officials on Monday announced a plan to test students for COVID-19 as part of the effort to prevent the disease from forcing schools to close.

The plan is voluntary, with school districts deciding whether or not to participate. In schools that participate, a contracted firm would conduct the tests weekly.

In most cases, students would swab their own noses in a process that officials said is much less uncomfortable than early tests that required the swab to be inserted deep into the nasal passages.

Samples would be combined into a “pooled” testing process that would not produce results for individual students, but would give schools information about prevalence of COVID-19 in the classroom and school, officials said. Schools would use the information to make decisions about controlling spread and protecting students and staff.

Acting state Secretary of Health Alison Beam said such testing can help schools stay open and enable activities such as Friday night football games.

Pennsylvania would give schools federal funds to pay for the tests, which cost about $6 per student.

Beam also announced Monday she has signed an order that COVID-19 vaccine providers must work with local school districts who want to offer clinics where staff, students and families of students can get vaccinated. If for some reason they can’t conduct the school clinic, they must contact the state department of health.

Beam said Monday the state isn’t considering requiring vaccination of school staff or mandating the wearing of face masks at schools.

Sounds like an act of desperation to keep ginning up "case" numbers and prolong the "pandemic".

Yep… they want “cases”. And by pooling samples they’ll be able to expand the “count” to include a range that includes ALL the participants who contributed to the pooled sample being tested.

How long before the little tykes start faking like the piss-tests for illegal drugs. Hey... Johnny’s vaccinated and he ALWAYS tests negative. Here’s my lunch money, Johnny. Just shove this swab up your nose!

Nope, the little tykes are going to figure out that a “positive test” = 2 week vacation.

Testing would be good, but only if the results are private; not reported to the school, not reported to the government, only reported to the parents.

Otherwise, pitchforks and torches!

the “carrots” are beginning to look like they are drying up into “sticks.”

Can a parent opt out of child’s “anonymous” pcr test? nothing mentioned about that-— a school district by school district decision?

Do you recall if Wolf adm has said anything about age of student covid-vaccine consent?

A firm contracted to test weekly .... yep, a ruse just to up the profits and run up the fake COVID numbers. They will be testing asymptomatic children with the PCR test at 40 cycles to boost the numbers.

And then, miracle of miracles, on New Year’s Day when the PCR test is no longer permitted per the FDA, Buy-Dung and Kamelalala can claim to have “conquered the coronavirus”.
