We should had the Northern Alliance capture Kabul and form a new country. Then allow the Pashtuns and rest of Afghanistan join Pakistan.

Put Northern Alliance in charge, in whatever way, and get out ASAP.
The Northern Alliance did most of the dirty job, and right after the win, we basically disbanded them and put them under the Pashtun run government.
Basically, we betrayed them, for our “nation building” ideas.
