Napoleon? Why not “emperor “ instead of “general?”
Yes, Napoleon was not known by his first name alone until he was the Emperor Napoleon I. Until that time, he was known as Napoleon Bonaparte. The correct form of address of Napoleon would be "Your Majesty", or "Sire".
“General” sounds more competent. Any inbred fool can become emperor. :)
