President Joe Biden on Saturday doubled down on his decision to withdraw US forces from Afghanistan despite the Taliban's rapid advances, but pledged to send more troops to evacuate civilians and warned the insurgents not to threaten that mission.

Soon to be the Fall of Kabul. Like this

As I understand it, we pulled out 3000 troops, noticed that no one was there to check the Taliban, and are now sending 5000 troops?
You either want to be there, or you don’t. We’ve had 20 years to make up our mind.
The Battle of Kabul has begun.

Biden warned the Taliban not to interfere with our operations in evacuating our troops?
I have a feeling that the Taliban are not afraid of Joe Biden and his warnings.
Just a feeling, but I think these assorted radical Muslim types, had a certain fear of Trump, and what he might do. They do not have any such fear of Joe Biden.
Think of the logistics of flying five thousand troops halfway around the world into territory held by the enemy after the enemy has collected a ridiculous amount of armaments we left behind.
What could possibly go wrong....
wrong...
wrong...
This is exactly the opposite of Sun Tzu’s tactics.
He would have said evacuate everyone you can, and under no circumstances send anyone else into the death-trap.
And this fear or lack of it, is nothing new.
When Iran took the American hostages all those years ago, it sure seemed like they feared Ronald Reagan. I remember reading somewhere, perhaps in Reagan’s book, that he made some public statements calling the Iranians barbarians, and our hostages were prisoners of war. And war is violent. Is it any coincidence that the hostages were released as Reagan was being sworn in as President?
The Iranians were afraid of what Reagan might do, in my opinion. So they released the hostages to end that crisis.
I hope our troops are not being sent into a trap.
I just posted on another thread right before this news broke, that Biden will use this crisis to recommit to establishment of a standing US Army in Afghanistan.
Ruh roh. The old behind the gym threat eh?
Yep that a Kabul prison being opened up.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Ever since Bill and Hill, one of the bit far flung schemes I could see liberals in power doing would be setting up a good portion of the military to be wiped out in a big sweep.
“Biden warned the Taliban not to interfere with our operations in evacuating our troops?”
Biden making a threat to anyone, is a laugh and a half. Can I laugh now?
All those cool American weapons and tools will be used by the Afghans to fight invaders for at least two centuries.
A standing US trans army
Kabul will be like Berlin 1945—BUT the forces of the corrupt American puppet will not fight and will slink off—or worse—join the Taliban in handing us our head on a plater. Rape and slaughter will resemble what the Soviets did to the Germans at the fall of Berlin—This will make Saigon look like a picnic. Woe to any female US Troops who fall into their hands. As Long John Silver said: “Them that be dead, will be the lucky ones.”

It’s a little too late, Joe, unless you’re planning on fighting the war all over again. What a dunce.
If Joe is sending them, than it’s a trap.
