US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Saturday as the security situation continues to deteriorate in the country.
In a statement released by the State Department, the two “discussed the urgency of ongoing diplomatic and political efforts to reduce the violence” in Afghanistan and Blinken “emphasized the United States’ commitment to a strong diplomatic and security relationship with the Government of Afghanistan and our continuing support for the people of Afghanistan.”

Would do LOL but this is too serious. Not been a fan of the State Department for some time. Pompeo tried but did not have time to clean up the place.
Lots of possible examples but I keep thinking about the Soviet Union collapse and how they missed that. Some ex actor named Regan couldn’t have possibly been smarter than their Ivy League people.

There’s nowhere to stay in Afghanistan. Kabul and the airport are not going to last long.
Doesn’t matter what you do with soldiers there now but the ones going are there for leading people out.
