US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Saturday as the security situation continues to deteriorate in the country.

In a statement released by the State Department, the two “discussed the urgency of ongoing diplomatic and political efforts to reduce the violence” in Afghanistan and Blinken “emphasized the United States’ commitment to a strong diplomatic and security relationship with the Government of Afghanistan and our continuing support for the people of Afghanistan.”

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is irrelevant to any positive outcomes in Afghanistan

Time for the UN and the fabled “World Community” of humanitarians we hear so mach about to step up to the plate do it's Humanitarian Duty and stop the crimes against humanity being perpetrated by the Taliban.

America has done more than what can be expected to keep the Taliban savages from their depredations against the Afghan people for the last 20 years.

Yeah , I know - I'm such a kidder

My much esteemed and regrettably now deceased biz partner always maintained we had two options to counter Radical Islam.

The first was the “Cold War” approach we used in Afghanistan and Iraq. The second was what he called “The War Crimes” approach similar to the ones we used in Germany and Japan.

He was a German national who's earliest childhood memories were of being on the receiving end of massive bombing raids and having to grow up starving in the bombed out ruins of Nazi Germany.

He knew what he was taking about

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani

He should go back to running his restaurant in Cambridge...or maybe that was Karzai.

Karzai did have a restaurant in the US. I think it was in NJ. and I may be wrong about this but someone told me it was a Popeyes.

Or not.

Blinken is largely responsible for the current situation in Afghanistan and he has no solutions. What we are seeing is a willful act of destruction by the Biden Admin. they just executed to be able to get away with their sabotage and they are now paying lip service as damage control now that they are being unexpectedly held accountable for the disaster they themselves engineered.

Ghani will be lucky to get out with his head still attached to his body.

As for Blinken, well, I can’t say what I’m thinkin’.
