We are in rough seas, that is true. But steer into the wind, and the oncoming waves, there is a bare possibility that we may survive. If the ship gets sideways, it will roll and possibly swamp, and the long axis of the ship is subject to battering waves, possibly breaking the ship in two.
Not a good prognosis, no matter what.
