Covid-19 cases have shot back up on Martha’s Vineyard, with health agents reporting 48 new positive tests during the first week in August, including three case clusters at Edgartown businesses.
In an email Monday, Martha's Vineyard Hospital spokesman Marissa Lefebvre confirmed that there is one patient currently hospitalized with the virus. Ms. Lefebvre said the patient was hospitalized Sunday in serious condition.
Case counts are climbing again. — Island Boards of Health The hospital classifies patient condition as good, fair, serious or critical, in increasing order of severity.
According to a follow-up email from Ms. Lefebvre, the patient had only received their first dose of the vaccine.
The hospital had not reported a new Covid-19 hospitalization since last spring.
The 48 new cases represent the highest weekly total since mid-May, after cases declined to near-zero levels during the beginning months of the summer.
But with the Delta case variant present on the Island, cases have risen dramatically since the end of July, prompting the reappearance of masks at the peak of the Vineyard’s busy season and a handful of restaurant closures.
In a weekly case update, health agents said 35 of the 48 new cases reported between August 1 and August 7 were symptomatic, two were asymptomatic and 11 were unknown.
Twenty-five of the cases are among fully vaccinated residents, one among partially vaccinated residents, 20 among unvaccinated residents and two are unknown.

I was vaccinated by nature...I’m good. Got thru COVID with no real issues. In my case the vaccine is not worth the risk.

They should contact trace all the recent border hopping illegals at the border and the sophisticated elite and look for any cluster connections. Rome was alive with dancing and glee before it fell as well.
I have a friend who is a nurse in an ICU ward. That sign sums up her experience as well. My friend is also liberal as the day is long, but she does not want the vax.
In other words, the Senile ClownPuppet and his Ginger Liar mouthpiece are a couple of liars when they quack about "a disease of the unvaccinated".

They are cooking the books with a meaningless test, designed to give a positive result as often as possible.
Probably why they finally are shutting most test sites for Covid down here locally.
Propaganda is the biggest viral contaminant mankind faces. China&its allies (Google, Apple, FaceBunk, etc) has taken it to a new level.
They have pretty much bought all the networks ... and quite a few politicans along the way.
I am not convinced we can be sure that the vaccine makes that much difference.
It is feasible that the person would have had the same outcome if not vaccinated.
The current version spreads more rapidly but perhaps is not as dangerous.
I suppose the vax could help some but perhaps the propensity for what is going to happen to you happens whether vaxxed or not.
I just really believe medical professions is flying by the seat of their pants to some extent.......STILL.
But at least the infusions seem to be helping.
I use to do a lot of posting but time is limited right now, so I was hoping it would be sent out by others. I can quickly stick it in places here and there and hope people will watch/send it along and judge for themselves. I’m sure there is a virus but handling of the virus is questionable, IMHO.
