Whoever told you the covid vaccines/shots/jabs or ANY OTHER VACCINE prevents infection, lied to you big time!
I had smallpox vaccine at age 6. Got infected by smallpox at age 9. So conclusive proof vaccine did not prevent infection. Because no vaccine builds a airtight glass enclosure around the body. If someone near you is exuding load of virus material, and you are breathing, the virus will enter your respiratory system and depending on size of it, you can get infected. No way vaccine can stop you from inhaling virus material. The virus does NOT ring a bell as it enters the body. The vaccine's job begins AFTER the virus has made it's presence known by beginning replication and destroying lung tissue. Then using the anti-bodies created by the vaccine, body goes to work fighting the virus. You chances are greatly enhanced to defeat the virus before you end up seriously sick. I do not know why so many posters do not understand basics of vaccine functionality.
So, I’m aware and I think most are also aware that being obese is not only unhealthy but is an additional risk with Covid.

Are you implying that “Obese” people are expendable?
Mind you, medically speaking, one is considered Obese at 15-20 pounds over weight at around 5’10” tall.
Benjamin Franklin was over weight.
George Washington was overweight, even at 6’1”.
John Adams was a pudgy fellow.
So I’m 8 pounds over my preferred weight……sheeesh I better skip those carbs tonight.

Me thinks you indulge in too many tin foil theories. It is already 160 days since 2nd shot in my family of 7 people ranging in age from 27-81. Not a single adverse side effect so far, and I actually feel stronger. I guess this daily routine of 25 minutes treadmill plus 10 minutes lifting light weights is a huge boost to my 81 year old body. I have always said, the best way to acquire herd immunity is to expose yourself to mild load of virus. You can’t do that with shutdowns.
I will concede those with multiple comorbidities do not have the body strength to fight the strange lab created virus from China, and those are the majority of deaths from covid.
But the younger and healthier should be allowed to live normal life.
OVERWHELMING doctors in USA are pro-vaccine. I respect all opinions but to pontificate FUTURE adverse side effects is conjecture at best and attention whoreness at worst.

At age 81 I feel stronger than at age 59 when I retired due to poor health. Just mowed the entire lawn with a push mower today (not self propelled) and then did my daily routine of 35 minutes at the community gym.
And by the way stay tuned for my exercise video on my 100th birthday. This is another conclusion I have reached..(besides that the covid vaccines are a big nothing burger for adverse side effects) that OLD people need NOT get weak and feeble and lose balance. My balance at age 81 feels great, could easily sign up for a ballet class.
In summary that 1/2 CC of clear liquid called covid vaccine is no match for my exercised body. My body chewed it up and urinated it out long ago.

Yes, the first cruise in September (post covid) is fast approaching. I understand the ship has openings. People are scared of cruises LOL, but not of flying non-stop coast to coast. Go figure. Which is worse? Enclosed in a air tight titanium tube sitting shoulder to shoulder for 5 hours -or- a cruise ship with 16 floors, fresh ocean air everywhere, and no need to sit shoulder to shoulder anywhere. We pick late seating because all those “old” folks are safely in bed. I should talk, burned 81 candles already.
