What’s happening now isn’t what we were told would happen back in January. The goal posts have not only been constantly moved, they have been out right obliterated. The whole thing is a massive SNAFU.
At the risk of sounding Clintonian, it depends what "may prevent you" means.
Further in the Fact Sheet, it says:

In an ongoing clinical trial, the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine has been shown to prevent COVID-19 following 2 doses given 1 month apart.
So, what does "to prevent" mean?
Clinical trials usually run for years. These shots haven't been evaluated for more than 10 months. If they "prevent" COVID19, let's say, 50% vs placebo today compared to 95% back in December, how does that decay in "prevention" compare to other vaccines at the 10 month point in their clinical trials?
Twitter doesn't have the biostatistical chops to suspend anyone making any claim.

Indeed. This is proven out by the CDC’s flip flop on masks. In May they dropped mask mandates because of the success of the vaccines. Then breakthrough cases erupted and they CDC re-instated the indoor mask mandate.
So the CDC itself was under the illusion the vaccines were producing durable sterilizing immunity. Now it is proven they’re not. They’re not advancing herd immunity in the least. With the variants, the vaccines are showing to produce an increasingly less effective response.
The CDC, lacking any other weapons against the virus, having successfully destroyed any alternatives, now can only suggest boosters. A booster for a strain which is no longer even the prevalent strain.
And Winter is coming.
