Why wouldn't it be in file sizes better optimized for download by the public at large?

They send a million drones to download the entire thing for no other reason than to smash your bandwidth budget.
Not a good plan.
Better to do like was mentioned near the end of the presentation, and get in direct contact, and just request the chunk of the data you’re interested in. THAT’S a data flow that weeds out those who aren’t serious, and doesn’t expose them to uncontrollable data fees.
