That’s not illegal
How many kids are living at home tax free?
Jeez… if I have somebody live in a house “rent free” it’s to have them be there so squatters don’t invade. I’ve done that before and considered the people “watching” to be doing me a favor. These prosecutors are stretching the hell out of this.
Paying rent is unAmerican says Talib.
When LEFTISTS are given positions of power (such as when conservatives sit out elections between RINOs and Democrats to ‘teach the GOP a lesson’, for example)...they then can ALWAYS find a crime, once they find a person they want to jail. Better solution, even if it involves holding one’s nose, is to NOT permit Leftists to have that kind of power over us in the first place.
There is evidence of Democrat Party collusion with the Communist Party of China, and this is what they come up with against Trump? After all this madness, they are pursuing this? So, now what? Are we supposed to laugh? This is crap, nothing more.
How can he pay taxes on rent he didn’t pay?
On my property, I can let anybody stay for as long as I choose at no cost to them.
15,000 annual gift free of taxes how much was the rent?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! This is the kind of nonsense they have? Hilarious.
New York state most likely has gift tax, too, but how much, and under what rules, I do not know.
I have evidence that the NY persecutors are retarded.
So there...
Well Trump is in big trouble now.
Because he ‘lives in the heads of tens of millions rent free’.
How about live-in girlfriends who don't pay rent?
Is this really serious stuff?
Tax avoidance is not illegal. Tax evasion is.
I’m trying to figure out what is illegal? It appears they’re making it up. If he didn’t pay a dime....so what.
The us military houses every single member and none of it is reported as income
I have a tenant living rent free. Millions of tenants are living rent free right now.
There is a difference between a company owning an apartment that is used by employees (note the plural) temporarily (note temporarily) when traveling (note traveling) from one corporate location to another and providing a company owned apartment rent free as a residence to a specific employee, either as a primary or secondary residence in lieu of paying wages.
The former is typically excludable from the employees’ income while that latter, with a few very specific exceptions, is a taxable fringe benefit in which the fair market value of rent must be added to the employee’s W2 income with all applicable taxes (federal, state and local) withheld and is also subject to the employers share of Social Security and Medicare tax.
