The Ministry of Health recorded over 9,300 locally-acquired COVID-19 infections in Vietnam on Monday, the second-biggest daily count so far.
Thirty-nine provinces and cities detected 9,323 domestic cases while another 17 infections were imported from abroad, the health ministry said.
A total of 1,556 transmissions were found in the community whereas the rest were detected in isolated areas or centralized quarantine facilities.
The health ministry had logged the largest daily rise of 9,684 locally-infected patients on Sunday.

"Health workers gave 514,503 vaccine doses today.
More than 9.4 million COVID-19 vaccine shots have been administered in Vietnam since the country rolled out vaccination on March 8, with almost 946,000 people having been fully vaccinated."

Just a reminder, Vietnam is (way) below everyone else on vaccinations, only about one percent have been fully vaccinated so far, and only about 10% have received partial vaccinations yet.
So just a polite reminder, we (really) are badly in need of more vaccinations.

Thank you.
Thank you for posting.
For your interest.
The CDC has announced that the test cannot distinguish between Covid and the flu.
Why are they still using it?
Why do we accept these numbers?
Fear porn.
No other reason
Of course the next thing people will say is those people died because they are fat. In Vietnam? Must be the new Vietnam.
Here is a vaccine experts take on vaccination! I tend to believe him more than some of our corrupt or ignorant politicians who are just itching to control the public and money hungry pharmaceuticals. Besides he isn’t he only one arriving at this conclusion, aside from that his predictions have been already proven correct in several areas with a high rate of vaccinations.
By: Geert Vanden Bossche, DMV, Ph.D It is critical to understand that a rapid decline in viral infectivity rates that is not achieved by natural infection but merely results from expedited mass vaccination campaigns will only delay abrupt propagation of emerging, fully vaccine-resistant viral variants and hence, only delay the occurrence of a high wave of morbidity and mortality.
If this happens to be true and comes to pass we will see one mutation after another show up. Some of them may not amount to much, while others will show up which will be difficult to deal with, and quite possible cause many casualties..
Geert Vanden Bossche, DMV, Ph.D. Is an independent virologist and world-renowned vaccine expert, formerly employed at GAVI and The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation...
Probably the reason he is no longer with Bill Gates, because more than once Bill Gates insinuate that the word needs to get the excess population under control, and what Geert discovered isn’t quite in line what Gates has up his sleeve and on his mind what these so called concoctions of vaccine can and will do over time, sorry to say will cull and decimate the population.
No actually Vietnam is very, very short of vaccinations.
For about a year we had almost no cases here, almost none. So when everyone started getting vaccines, Vietnam said no problem, while everyone else got the vaccines.
That changed around April with the Delta variant, the problem is there is now very little supply of vaccines left.
Now we really need some. Granted we already received 5 million vaccines from America. Thank you very much.
But we still need around one hundred ninety million, for everyone.
Five was very nice, thank you, but we need more like fifty million now.
Please help.
Thanks.
Because the flu kills 0.1% at most. COVID is killing 3.3% of the cases right now in Vietnam
Were both numbers calculated with the same method?
Not going to suggest the high death rate is because of obesity. But I do have wonder if there is a genetic factor behind the higher death rates. Could it also have to do with the lower incidence of SARS-1 they went through compared to other Asian nations?
You are very welcome.
Thank you.
“Because the flu kills 0.1% at most. COVID is killing 3.3% of the cases right now in Vietnam: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/viet-nam/ Even if infections are much higher (undetected cases), it’s still a lot more deadly than flu.”
Dude, really? You totally missed the point, and repeated false information.
We DON’T KNOW how many the flu or the ‘rona are killing, because the test is incapable of distinguishing between the two.
Let me try again. The test cannot distinguish between covid and the flu. The test cannot distinguish between covid and the flu. The test cannot distinguish between covid and the flu. The test cannot distinguish between covid and the flu. The test cannot distinguish between covid and the flu. The test cannot distinguish between covid and the flu. The test cannot distinguish between covid and the flu.
Repeat after me: The test cannot distinguish between covid and the flu.
WE HAVE NO FRICKING IDEA HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM THE ‘RONA AND HOW MANY FROM THE FLU.
No idea. No idea. No idea. No idea.
The one, single demonstrable fact we have is that deaths from the ‘rona are HUGELY over-reported.
Hugely.
“No actually Vietnam is very, very short of vaccinations.”
The jab is a biological weapon. The fewer you have, the more Vietnamese people will survive this catastrophe.
CCP waging asymmetric warfare to retake SE Asia?
Just saying.
If so, then America really needs to get us some vaccinations.
Really. We need vaccines!!!
No the case fatality rate for COVID is from known cases. There are 3 to 4 times more infections than known cases. That puts COVID infection fatality rate down around 0.2 to 0.3% in the US. That's way above the flu but we should not have freaked out like we did (and still are).
