That was my first reaction to the story. If you let them keep you away they have won.
My other reaction was screw turning the other cheek. Prepare to defend yourselves and your right to gather. Your kids need to see you stand up for your rights.

Turn the other cheek does not mean laying down and being a victim- all it means is that we Christians are NOT to plot revenge towards those that assault us- We can however protect ourselves with force- and actually have a duty to do so- We just can’t become angry and violent while seeking vengeance- That is what Christ was speaking to-
Bueler, who said “Sell your coat and buy a sword.”? Who took a strap to the backs of the money changers?
Turning the other cheek means taking personal insult and not returning reviling for reviling.
It does not mean allowing people to keep you from worship or ministry or public profession of faith.
Christianity is not pacifism
