This is widely attributed to Thomas Jefferson, but some sources say he might not be the source. No matter, it’s a great quote and serves as a reminder that in doing the right thing, one might motivate others to join the cause.
We might be at a tipping point. The corrupt, corporate, state-controlled media are having an increasingly difficult time hiding the installed administration’s failures on the “dinner-table” issues that affect every American: our discarded energy independence and the resulting rising gas prices (adding to ever-rising inflation), just about all things COVID and, lastly, the unmitigated disaster that has come from Biden/Harris immigration policies.
On Tuesday, August 3, stories began to break about Texas Congressman Chip Roy’s twitter thread and that he used the “I” word – “Impeachment” (*gasp*) – in a Twitter thread.
I have been ruminating on this for months. I live in South Texas, and despite the lack of comprehensive news coverage of events taking place along the Rio Grande Valley sector of the U.S.-Mexico border (we have corporate media down here, too), there are some media outlets that will publish reports about what is going on:

Call out the Texas NG and close the border.

Biden would just federalize the NG and send them home. Unfortunately LOTS of people think the NG is the militia. THey are NOT. We are the militia, the citizens. The NG gets federal funding, federal weapons, federal uniforms, federal vehicles, federal crimes for stealing or violating them, etc. They are the feds (when the CINC) says so. It is time for citizens to secure the border.
You don’t need the NG to do that, you need land owners, SO’s, DA’s and County and district judges to do that.
I was going to say impeach him for breaking the law. But that only applies to republicans when no law is broken. Sorry, I lost my head for a minute.
Why can’ Gov Abbot put the TX NG on the border and just refuse to let anyone in?
Yes. Call out your state detachment of the National Guard and deploy them at the border.
Shut it completely down.
Dare the Feds to come in with a countervailing force, and if/when they do, film it and put the film out there for the world to see.

That is so true. History was/is made by individuals with incredible will power.
The masses are just sheep that are used by that man to achieve his goals.
Spontaneous mass uprisings never happen. They’re always the result of an instigator, a scab picker, who gleefully exaggerates any perceived “injustice” in order to irritate enough people to do his bidding

Form new country—Break with Corrupt Federal state. Form a new Confederacy based on the Constitution. Put in Trump as the President. New Capital in Texas. This time make it work, march on Washington DC with an army of one million men. REboot the Nation.

Exactly.
What needs to happen is the people show up and let NOBODY across the border who is not an American returning. Shut down all traffic in both directions, nobody in, nobody out except illegals with boot prints on their jeans.
Same for dc. Show up in huge numbers and empty the place out. No need for violence, we’re tired of you fools, GO. Don’t come back. If you don’t leave, we’ll drag you out. Once your ass hits the street you’re a civilian again, NEVER allowed to run for office again, even as dogcatcher.
But it takes leaders and coordination. We don’t have it.

The trouble right now with that Austin and several other big Texas cities are full of liberals. Before any of them could be capitol we’d have to relocate them to the nearest Democratic enclave.
