These days that might be reworded – "I'm from the government. I'm here with your vaccination."
Vaccines never are guaranteed – that's why the U.S. government makes their manufacturers immune to lawsuits over the damages and death they can deliver – and they especially are suspect when they are developed and delivered while the pandemic they confront actually is continuing.
The COVID vaccines now available in the United States also still are all considered experimental.
And there probably is no more clear an illustration of that uncertainty as the recent announcement from Carnival that there are positive COVID cases aboard its Carnival Vista cruise ship.

This has happened with every single coronavirus vaccine ever tried. Why would this one be different?
It’s a shame that so few have educated themselves about vaccines and how they work - which is to greatly diminish the severeity of symptoms in those whose vaccinated immune systems are not able to completely prevent them. Only .004% of vaccinated individuals have required hospitalization or died. Damn good odds.
We are told of “cases” as if every one was equally severe. I’m old enough to remember the polio vaccine, and if the difference was being sick for a few days vs. ending up in an iron lung, I’d be the first to take the vaccine.
So, how severe are these cases? Then we could have a meaningful discussion instead of an exchange of talking points.
If they don’t tell you how severe the cases are in the article; then they are probably more severe than you think. If everyone on the cruise was vaccinated why even test? Probably testing because some are physically ill?

There are a lot of breakthrough cases with the Delta variant compared to earlier variants, but as you said, the symptoms are usually milder for these people. Even the ones forced to go to the hospital tend to do better with shorter admission times. Obviously nothing is perfect. Some vaccinated people will die. But improving one’s chances is the smart thing to do.
As a deplorable, second class unvaccinated citizen I plan to use my white privilege to stay that way.
Well there are the plenty of cases to prove the ineffectiveness as a “preventative”. I just got this email this morning from my former boss:
“It’s with a broken heart I have to tell you that we’ve lost our firstborn to covid. While on a family reunion at xxxx, our house was infected with covid.
xxx xxx xxx. Age xx. He was unvaccinated. Passed yesterday at xxx hospital after a 4 day hospital stay.
xxxx and I, both vaccinated, have covid as well. I have nasal congestion, xxxx has stomach upset. We obviously couldn’t be there with him which adds to our grief.
We’re devastated and in shock. We know he’s gone to a better place but we’re going to miss him dearly. RIP son.”
Sorry to hear about my former co-workers son. Obviously, once again, the CONvid one9 shot didn’t work for the parents as a ‘preventative’. Prayers up for them and their son and hope they make a full recovery if the jab does it’s job of lessening the symptoms. It is NOT a ‘preventative’.

Us as well. We remain in the “pay the price/not as smart as I thought” column. Even when the talk of a “vaccine” for ‘CONvid one9’ early on, neither one of us ever considered taking it. No other reason than it’s just not something we do.

Current USA COVID deaths - 615,000
Dead before vaccines arrived - 300,000
Dead before anyone got their second shot - 500,000
For the last seven weeks, COVID deaths have been under 2,000 per week.
That is close to the average influenza fatality rate during a bad flu season.
Protect the aged and the infirm.
Everyone else, go back to your normal life.
If the entire cruise ship was vaccinated, as Carnival has stated:
Well, bigbob, in the very CDC study that was abused by the Xiden Admin to compel the return of masks, out of the 469 COVID cases in that outbreak, of the 5 that were hospitalized, only 1 was unvaccinated.
Let me repeat. The very case study that was used by the puppet-state to restart the plandemic to try and save their puppet party mid-term elections, out of 469 COVID cases, 5 people went to the hospital: 4 were fully vaccinated, 1 was unvaccinated. None died.
Anything else?
The “vaccines” are working. They are a cure for Wuhan flu hysteria, not a vaccine for the flu. Hysteria sufferers who get the vaccine overcome their hysteria and drop their precautions thus get the flu and help reach herd immunity. The success of the vaccinations is measured by the number of vaccinated who get the flu.
IIRC I read the cdc had pretty much given up on the herd immunity projections. Results may vary in you location.
