Defense minister tells envoys from UNSC members the time has come for tangible actions — including military — against Tehran as hardline president comes into office
Iran is ten weeks away from acquiring enough enriched uranium to build a nuclear bomb, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Wednesday.
“Iran has violated all of the guidelines set in the JCPOA and is only around 10 weeks away from acquiring weapons-grade materials necessary for a nuclear weapon,” Gantz told ambassadors from countries on the United Nations Security Council during a briefing at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem.
“Now is the time for deeds – words are not enough,” he added. “It is time for diplomatic, economic and even military deeds, otherwise the attacks will continue.”
Gantz’s remarks came amid rising tensions around the Gulf of Oman, where a ship was boarded by hijackers Tuesday evening and an Israeli-linked ship was struck by UAVs last week. Iran has been blamed for both attacks.
Emphasizing that Israel does not see the Iranian people as an enemy, Gantz said, “The Iranian regime is threatening us and sparking a regional arms race.”

The baseline Israeli assumption is correct: if somebody says they want to kill you, believe him.
Given Iran’s record, Israel is entirely justified in preemptive measures. The limiting factor is prudence. The Iranian regime considers itself to be at war with Israel, but it is a low intensity war of terrorism and attrition. Escalation in self-defense, while justifiable, risks starting something Israel cannot control. But the prospect of Iran with nuclear weapons is horrific.
The baseline Israeli assumption is if you want to get something done, do it yourself. If you don’t really want to get something done or don’t want to pay for it get others involved. Israel has the ability to deal with it themselves. Let them.

I’m thinking the Israelis are quite capable of taking care of business. The one concern that comes to mind which may have been addressed by now is/was their lack of in-flight refueling capability. Now that we’re rapidly getting out of Iraq refueling there may not be an option. Maybe one of the Arab states will quietly allow them to refuel. Anyway, I suspect the Israelis have a plan 😉…

Would anyone be surprised if Biden were to make a deal with Iran to give them 10 thermonuclear bombs in exchange for dismantling their nuclear program? You know, just enough to vaporize Isreal, but no more.

Bibi’s warning was to the complacent Eurowennies who continue to sell centrifuges, metals and other things needed to make a working warhead for their ICBMs. Dinner Jacket promised that besides Tel Aviv and NYC, they would nuke Rome as soon as they had all the pieces ready.
How will they know they have a working warhead? When Rome is vaporized. Mass death is the Mad Mullah’s goal; it is their religion.

Haven’t heard of this. Is this in experimental or prototype stage? Or, is it in active service? Also, is it designed for carrier or land based application?

Your timeline doesn’t make much sense. The six months prediction was from 2012. Stuxnet was 2005, the document operation was 2018. Neither of those things prevented Iran getting nukes in 2012.
There were many other operations that never made the MSN which prevented Iran from achieving its goal. Those were simply examples of what the Israeli’s have been doing with a little help form the US. It is only the continuing Israeli operations against Iran that have greatly slowed their march to a nuclear WWIII.
