Richard Trumka, president of the powerful AFL-CIO labor organization, has died unexpectedly, two sources told POLITICO. Trumka, 72, had served as president of the federation, which represents more than 12.5 million workers, for more than a decade and has been a close ally of the Biden White House.
Trumka died of what was believed to be a heart attack, a source familiar with the matter said. It was unclear when exactly it occurred though believed to have taken place either Wednesday evening or Thursday morning

Before the AFL-CIO he was the head of the United Mine Workers... yet in 2016 he endorsed Hillary who said she was going to put a lot of them out of work.

I keep expecting to hear that for the elderly communists Pelosi, Biden, Schumer, Feinstein, et al.
When Donald Trump first became president, he set up the Presidential Council on Manufacturing. The goal was to bring jobs back to America. Richard Trumka joined that council. This shows that Trumka had at least some common sense, and was willing to work with Trump.
Unfortunately, the whole thing fell apart after the Charlottesville incident. Then Trumka reverted back to being a Democrat hack.
He was committed to the union and to the democrats, and the country could go to hell as far as he and many other union bosses are concerned. Country first was not on his agenda at all.
That being said, I would never wish anybody any ill will.
