epublican candidates heading into their first televised debate Wednesday in California’s looming recall election face a gamble: whether to pile up on Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom or try to undercut each other in front of a statewide audience.
That’s the risk in the evening contest at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Orange County, California, which will provide a first-time look for many voters at a partial Republican field that hopes to see Newsom ousted from office in the Sept. 14 election.

I heard an excerpt from a Larry Elder campaign appearance (on the radio).
He mentioned “school choice”.
Did anyone hear his whole speech? I’ve listened to his program for years and one of the things he’s aired seasonally is a several episode broadcast talking about the stories in his book about a lengthy conversation he had with his father (and the book has since been retitled).
He talks about “The Soft Bigotry of Low Expectations” and how when he went from his local school to a better school he was ill prepared for the level of expectation in the coursework. He certainly is an advocate for giving parents/students the right/ability to go “elsewhere” but I didn’t know if he brought in his own personal experiences at his campaign appearance.
They’ll all be wearing pink bunny suits, tripping over themselves lying about their credentials and how they are going to “solve” the big problems California faces knowing full well they will vote with Democrats on everything.
Prove me wrong.
Right now the polls show Newsome beating the recall, but it is within the margin of error.

Is this like the gray Davis recall, and the freakshow that ensued where you had Mary cary a porn star, father guido sanducci, wasnt Cher actually running back then too?
Even if Gavin Newsom is recalled and Larry Elder or someone else wins, I’m guessing Newsom will “pull ahead” by a million votes as “more ballot are counted”.

Now that it’s mail-in due to Covid, I doubt Newsome will lose at all.
