After voting to certify Biden victory, Iowa GOP congressional delegation backing Grassley re-election, ignoring Carlin challenge

All five GOP members of Iowa’s congressional delegation voted to certify President Joe Biden’s election on Jan. 6. They actually made history and Iowa unique that day.

Only two states have multiple Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives with none voting to object — Iowa and Washington.

Washington, of course, doesn’t have any GOP senators, whereas Grassley and Ernst are both Republicans.

This means Iowa is the only state in the entire country with multiple Republicans in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate to not have one single congressional representative object to the 2020 Presidential Election.

Carlin is actually the only Republican candidate who has announced they intend to run for the seat as Grassley is mulling over his decision. If Grassley runs again and if he is elected, he will be 89 years old when he earns six more years in the U.S. Senate.

Carlin has been a vocal critic of Republicans who voted to certify the 2020 Presidential Election. He called fraud the “worst kind of voter suppression” during debate on an election reform bill in the Iowa Senate earlier this year.

This figures. The GOP establishment runs Iowa, and Grassley and Ernst might as well be called the senators from the ethanol lobby.

Grassley will probably pass the torch on to his grandson, who is currently the Iowa House Speaker. Bah, humbug! I thought we fought a war to get rid of the monarchy.

The Iowa Standard is a good source of info for Iowa conservatives.

Obviously the Iowa GOP is dominated by Bush League Republicans.

If we keep re-electing them they will assist the Democrats to a permanent majority with amnesty for all the illegal aliens they have helped to import.

Grassley is GOPe to the Core. He has done everything to aid and abet the Uniparty Establishment and mocks any Iowan who questions his allegiance as conspiracy theorists or partisans. Earnst is just as bad

The IOWA GOP is Dominated by the Corn Lobby. The Ethanol Lobby. They could not care less about this country. As long as their federal SUBSIDIES CONTINUE in PERPETUITY they would vote for SATAN himself without a moment’s hesitation. They don’t trust Conservatives to keep that gravy train going. They know they can trust RINO’s and Dems to do so.

The money that goes to state politicians, though, comes from the corn/ethanol lobby. Grassley, Ernst, etc. don’t give a rat’s butt about ordinary Iowans.

Grassley is another GOP Pretender.

He wanted Trump gone. He put Lindsey Graham in charge to undermine Trump for four years.

All five GOP RINO members of Iowa’s congressional delegation voted to certify President Joe Biden’s (s)election on Jan. 6. They actually made history and Iowa unique that day. …
Yes; historically and uniquely lawless.

Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
Looks like those lobbyists better read Hosea 2:9.

“Looks like those lobbyists better read Hosea 2:9.”
I agree 100%. But, I’m afraid those people, even when confronted with this would scoff at it.
Their only concern is the cash they collect from Corn. Any perceived threat to their money will be acted upon and they will choose to attack that threat and side with whomever they believe will keep their money flowing.
Conservative Small Gov’t philosophy is a THREAT to their money. Therefore Conservatives are to be rejected.
They may not like ALL Dem policies and beliefs but, if it keeps money flowing to them they will just go along to get along. It is ALL they care about.

Then the corn will start going away, which is their money and their power (and their false god). God’s never mocked.

Caucus, but your point is the same.

Cruz was the only candidate to go to Iowa and openly oppose ethanol subsidies. He was told it was politically suicidal. He won Iowa. That should tell the GOP something, but they have a virtually infinite capacity to learn the wrong lesson from any situation.

Yes, it is. I sent a second scathing email to Grassley today after I got an email from him defending his support of the infrastructure bill. The price of ground beef at Walmart won’t affect any of our “public servants”. They all retire as multi-millionaires and then expect us to revere them for their dedication. It’s enough to make you puke.
