As a graduate of Oral Roberts University, I was blessed to spend a lot of time with Oral Roberts himself.
Roberts repeatedly told me, “Go into every man’s world and meet them at the point of their need.”
He was referring to Christians evangelizing throughout the world. We Christians cannot wait for people seeking God to stumble into our churches. Rather, Christians must go to them and invite them to join our movement.
In a similar manner, conservatives must go!
They must go to black entrepreneurs. They must go to black parents. They must go to black preachers.
No more buffoonery. No more Stepin Fetchit. No more minstrel shows.
Blacks don’t need to be persuaded or convinced about conservative values. Blacks are the most conservative group in the country and have been for most of America’s existence.
Conservatives must start financially supporting legitimate, credible black organizations and individuals who have standing within the black community.
Conservative groups must form strategic partnerships with these credible black groups and individuals.
Far too often, conservatives attempt to address issues publicly that are of particular interest to the black community, but with not one credible black person on the platform with them.
Do conservatives not realize the optics of having a white person who has no standing in the black community attempt to address racial issues?

God helps those who help themselves.
What black communities doesn’t understand about the conservative community: We’re not the racists treating you like slaves.
I’m white. My mother said we were translucent. Does that count?
Could you show me where in the Bible that particular doctrine originates? I suspect it isn’t there.
Blacks are socially conservative, but financially liberal.
It’s a value system that gives way to liberalism, when push comes to shove.
I’ve told blacks that I’m nore than happy to help them, however I can help them if I am able to help them. All they have to do is ask.
“Blacks are the most conservative group in the country and have been for most of America’s existence.”
whut?
Black Lives Matter?
Does the author realize that ‘conservatives’ don’t live in an all white bubble? Does the author realize that ‘conservatives’ are found in every political party and are of every skin color?
White and asian folks are exceptionally qualified to speak of black issues because they are impartial, unbiased observers and more often than not the victims of, the issues inherent to poor black communities - which, for 100 years, these communities can’t seem to deal with themselves, no matter how much money is thrown at the issues, no matter how many black leaders try to lead and no matter how many success stories of blacks escaping the ‘community culture’ only to thrive.
but they vote dem cuz pubs are racist
the dems said so
Doesn’t need to directly come from the Bible.
IMO, and I have told blacks this, their solution is the church. The church can be for anything we need it to be to raise people up. A good church should be open from 7am until 10pm at night and minister to anybody that needs ministering.
The church is where the good type socialism should happen. Churches can be used to set up scholarships for education. It can be a place where people put up bulletins needing workers for the day. Where a single mother can find cheap places to rent. Whatever you can image, a church can fill that function.
It is not simply a place to go on a Sunday for four hours and then close the doors for the rest of the week.
Conversely, do blacks not realize the optics of rejecting the message of self reliance and independent thinking simply because it is spread by a white person?
The author is advocating for a mishmash of conservative socialism.
There’s a huge difference between country blacks and city blacks, generally speaking.
“The phrase “God helps those who help themselves” is a motto that emphasizes the importance of self-initiative and agency. The expression is known around the world and is used to inspire people for self-help. The phrase originated in ancient Greece as “the Gods help those who help themselves” and may originally have been proverbial. It is illustrated by two of Aesop’s Fables and a similar sentiment is found in ancient Greek drama. Although it has been commonly attributed to Benjamin Franklin, the modern English wording appears earlier in Algernon Sidney’s work.
The phrase is often mistaken as a scriptural quote, though it is not stated verbatim in the Bible. Some Christians have criticized the expression as being contrary to the Bible’s message of God’s grace.[citation needed] A variant of the phrase can also be found in the Quran “
Buck up and get with the program...
You can tell me that you don't believe in God, or that there are a myriad of beliefs. But, the authority doesn't rest in human beliefs but in the person and work of God alone.
Haha. I tell my granddaughter that I can nearly see through her.
That line isn’t in the Bible. Ben Franklin said it.
I doesn’t necessarily contradict Scripture.
But there are times when people do need help, sometimes crap just happens.
But there are more times when people are enabled and made dependent.
And that describes what corrupt black “leaders” have done.
Blacks are capable of great success just like anyone else .
But racist enablers like Al Sharpton want them kept dependent
While a nice thought not supported by Scripture.
